Review Time
We have been customers since 2014, bought many knives and recommended them to friends who also have become customers. In short, we have been big fans of CKTG for a decade!When shopping today for more knives and accessories we were dismayed and frustrated that their site is still badly updated. It is incredibly frustrating and a huge time waster - nearly impossible to find anything.You have to look at PAGE after PAGE - OVER AND OVER, to find anything that is actually in stock, at a price that you want and the design and steel one is interested in. Sorry but until the site gets a total redesign, our time is more valuable and we will buy elsewhere.
I have purchased several knives from CKTG in the past. All the knifes arrived fast and in perfect condition. Nothing but great things to say about this company except they do not renew their inventory fast enough for me. Be aware, all this bad reviews look fishy to me.
This is the worst knife that I haver purchased in all of the years that I have been collecting knives. Even though you folk claim that this product is hand made, by far the majority of collected knives are hand made, not one of them exemplify such poor craftsmanship. I feel that you should send me a prepaid label to at least let me exchange this dud.
I can't believe all these negative words???? From other reviewers. This Company is the best to buy Japanese knife from. They offer best price in American market. Japanese knife are handmade by Japanese masters so knife from knife could be different in fit and finish. Before you buy Japanese knife no matter what price range, please study maintenance and different Japanese steel products. Let me tell you something, zwilling and wusthof buy million dollars machinery to do the mass production of a fairly soft steel where they unemployed 100th of workers instead and you should pay that cost. Unlike Japanese steel that you pay for durability and performance. I have all makes in my collection, my German knives are my beater knifes thats it. I in person have met the owners of chef knifes to go when I picked up my items from their warehouse, both are not human like you and me but actual Angles from paradise, very decent people, nicest you see in your life. A great thanks to chef knifes to go for being for us.
Sharp out of the box but after a couple of day it developed a few chips. Was told its due to cutting frozen food or dropping it. It never was used or dropped. Now it developed a bend near the handle. Metal seems to be very soft. Was not impressed with so called"Japanese craftsmanship". I think it's website selling knok off items. Won't be using them again.
I bought an expensive set of knives from this company. In less than a month, one of them had a fault, which was obviously a manufacturing defect. They refused any kind of warranty support, even though the problem was not caused through use. So BE AWARE, once they have your money, that's it. They do not honour any kind of warranty or guarantee. I will never buy from these people again. If you want peace of mind, look at Zwilling knives. They offer a lifetime warranty against defective workmanship.
