Had to take a parcel to drop off point for Hermes at Co-op Westfield, Radstock, AvonNo clear markings in floor or indication where to go within shop. Went to tills to be told it’s done there. No indication how to queue so shop assistant had to tell people too close behind me to join queue at other end. Hermes collection had to be done at end till near scanner. Shop assistant struggled a little - I had two parcels to drop off. Tried to do this safely at 2 metre distance. I was wearing mask and disposable gloves - surprised to see staff had no protection nor screening. Because my parcels took a while to process other customers at other tills had to pass me - I had to keep moving into area where scanner was kept to keep us safe.. Glad I was in mask gloves and long sleeves.I said this was bad practise - the drop off point should be away from the other tills and I was glad I didn’t have to work there. She admitted that she felt unsafe too and said management didn’t listen to concerns of staff. I certainly didn’t feel safe. My husband had already returned to the safety of our car as he didn’t have PPE equipment like me. Not a good experience and not one i will repeat as a vulnerable over 70 person trying to keep safe.
