Bought car end of June 21 from David haytons at Penrith - Peugeot 2008 - £ 8500 - sold as pristine on video for car. Told it would be best it could be ( and I believed them ) 🤦♀️Picked up 27 June immediately had issues with computer screen not working. They just said it was the heat and turn air con on as common issue. ( our local Peugeot updated it out of courtesy as it had not been updated ) and said it should have been checked. Clutch was so creaky it made car unserviceable and Had a rip in seat . We took it back and they glued seat ( temp repair ) and said clutch was sorted . Immediately the same noise when using the clutch on driving so took to local Peugeot dealership who verified there was a fault along with evident service issues when they did health check which clearly hadnt been done. Came with 2 stamps in book ( one with a few weeks of getting car) and a full mot with no advisories. David hayton at Penrith declined to offer any resolution even when verified by Peugeot dealership. Customs service manager was awful and treated us like we was in the wrong and making it up. Even with evidence in hand . She seemed to take pride in causing the upset and just disregarded everything as wear n tear. Said noise was normal 🤦♀️Requested to return the car within 30 days as they wouldn’t do any repair. Guess what no response from request. Just sent complaints process which was wrong address until I complained officially via Peugeot and she then sent correct address claiming it was a mistake ( sadly will need to pursue complaint at great time upset and personal expense just to try to get costs of repairs re embursed on a car that was faulty from day of purchase ) It’s been the worst experience of buying a car we have ever had and they should hang their heads in shame at the customer service desk. It could all of easily be resolved by repairing the faulty clutch . Hey ho lots of bad reviews coming your way 🤷♀️
