Ordered three new bird feeders. Cost $455.00 due to shipping fees. I open the shipping box and see that they are made by Bird's Choice. Who make awful feeders but charge $50 less for them.I can not get hold of anyone at Duncraft to send these back and get sold to another schmuck.
I ordered 2 red glass hummingbird feeders. After a weeks use specks of red paint are falling off the glass bottle. It is NOT red glass, its clear glass cheaply painted red. Dangerous to expose hummingbirds to that since it falls into the sugar water. Duncraft shouldn't be selling these.
Bought 2 metal magnum nyger feeders. The wire is too large and the seed sifts out in a very short time! Emailed customer service and they told me to contact the manufacturer. Manufacturer appears to be an importer from China. Avoid Dunncraft!!
5 Stars for their customer service. Placed an order for a plastic bird bath replacement bowl, realizing later in the day that I had ordered the wring size. I called, actually spoke with an American cust. svc. rep (when's the last time THAT happened?), and he was very helpful and polite, and had the order cancelled within a minute. That, unfortunately, is very much the exception when dealing with just about any other customer service people nowdays. Thanks tons for the help!
I bought the metal safe haven 3 tube feeder with a cage to keep out larger birds. What I did not realize in the poorly designed feeder was large birds can just reach in the ports. I am so disappointed and frustrated. That is a lot of money for a feeder. Buyer beware on these feeders. I recommend that serious birders really assess the product design and don't make a 129 mistake like we did. I have put seed in it and have used it so I will not be returnng it. I will not be buying any additional feeders from Duncraft... Seems to me that you buy this for the brand and not the function.
I ordered the Squirrel X1 bird feeder. It arrived last night and I am returning it today. It is shoddy, poorly made, and not worth the money. The perches are flimsy and the top, where the bird seed is added, is extremely difficult to open. If you have arthritis, you will never be able to open it. I also ordered another feeder that is out of stock until the end of July, but was charged to me now. I understood when I ordered it, I would not be billed for it until it shipped. So much for that... Based on my experience with this product, I am canceling that item as well and will not be buying from thiss company again.
I am very disappointed to say the least. I am a bird feeder and bought the seed catcher to put below my bird feeders because my feeders are in my planter where new flowers are coming in. I also purchased enough stuff to get free shipping However I ordered everything on 3/22 and I called the company on on 3/31 to ask how much longer will it be before I get my order they said they just sent it out today! I asked why they waited so long and was then informed that they are a small company! They also said they don’t work on the weekend. I said I understand that but if you take away the weekend then that is 8 days you sat on my order without sending it. I said I spent enough to get the free shipping but if I would have know that you sit on an order foe 8 days or longer before shipping then I would have paid for my package to be expedited. I have send that is now growing in my new planter with new bulbs abs I don’t k ow which is a seed weed or my new bulbs growing in. Today is April 2nd abs I am still waiting and the holiday weekend is here so no chance of getting it soon. Very poor service In fact I told her I was thinking of buying a bird house that was it’ll not cheap but no way would I buy from them again! She could care less that I was upset. Separately after reading reviews I hope things come in the way they are described. Very frustrated about hearing we are a small business. When they get their money get up off your Butt and get your package out. Small businesses depend on customer service to survive.
I ordered 2 mealworm feeders directly from Duncraft. They were both labeled as bluebird feeders, saying that bigger birds couldn't get in. Starlings were inside BOTH feeders within a few hours of hanging them up. I decided to keep the smaller of the two feeders to use in summer when starlings aren't around. It cost me $37 to send the larger one back!!! Duncraft doesn't give the option of rating their products directly. I'm done with them!
My husband purchased a bird feeder from Duncraft for me... it was of poor quality and we wanted to return it. Duncraft would not send a postage return label for us to return their POOR quality product. Therefore it cost us $11 + dollars to return it... 1/3 of the cost of the product. If you do not mind receiving poor quality products, and you do not mind incurring addition cost, and poor customer service as well, then buy from them, you won’t be disappointed.
