It's a pity, but Epson dramatically lets me down on occasions.(1) In 2015 I bought an XP-760. It worked well until 2018. It had been good so I bought a new XP-760. That was equally good, but in August (2021) it stopped working, apparently because I had been using non-Epson inks and consequently there was a danger of my printer exploding (or something!). Hmmm! I discussed this with Epson, and, on balance, the best option was to buy a new printer. Summary: Epson's unchangeable 'auto-stop' function is frustrating, and seems unnecessary and unfair.(2) Even so, I bought a WF-3820. It's excellent, and cheaper than my previous Epsons! However, I needed clarification on their Ink plan, so I phoned Epson. There was no phone option that applied, but I spoke to a technician, who said I should call Service number 08714237766. No one answered except a periodic message to wait. So I waited, and waited. Eventually I gave up. But that waiting and non-productive phone call cost me a £9.48 telephone bill. I'm not happy! Beware!
