Our Rhine River cruise was less than stellar to say the least. Start time to catch the bus each day was way too early! It doesn't feel like a vacation when one has to rush through breakfast (or skip it altogether) in order to catch a bus.We needed more free time in each city. No museums were included in any of the city tours until the extra days in Amsterdam. This was very disappointing because each city had wonderful museums that the guide would point out to us, but there was never enough free time to properly explore them. The lunches usually felt extremely crowded, with one of them more like a children's birthday party. However, the lunch in Edam was very, very good. The guides in each city were very knowledgeable, friendly and able to answer any and all questions very thoroughly. The ship's personnel were also friendly and efficient. Therefore, one star for the city guides and ship's personnel.
