Service not responsive

The installation of the stair lift was good, but a month later it quit working after it was accidentally unplugged. My 90 year old dad called hq who said they would let the manager/scheduler know so they could get someone out here to fix it. We got no response that entire week. The following week (Sept 29) I called hq and was told that since we unplugged it, the warranty would not cover the new battery we needed. We would need to pay for that, but they'd try to get us a special deal. The next day I called hq back to say, "That makes no sense; power outages happen here all the time. It was only unplugged for at most 3 days, on a 1-month old chair." Hq said they would have the manager/scheduler call us. I've been calling every day from Sept 29th until October 6th - hq, the manager/scheduler, the installer - and I've been told the same thing every time - "That sounds frustrating. We'll let the manager/scheduler know." My dad has balance issues and is struggling to go up and down the stairs every day, so yeah it's frustrating to pay $7,360 for the stair lift and it be unusable. The day after writing the above, my brother called insistently and talked with the scheduler/manager, who said that if the lift is without power for 48 hours while the toggle button is in the on position, it will kill the battery, and that the battery isn't covered by the warranty. Also we learned that we'll need to replace the battery every 1- 2 years anyway. Finally we were told that a new battery costs $20 to $30. For the past 2 1/2 weeks I had assumed a new battery would be more in the $300-$500 range, like ebike batteries. I wish it hadn't taken over 2 weeks of trying to communicate with Leaf to figure this out. Seems to me this battery drain situation, is a lousy design, esp if you have housemates, family, neighbors, children, friends, or anyone who might be in your house needing to use an outlet.

Why we picked Leaf Home

We compared Leaf Home to Bruno and Acorn. Leaf Home is more expensive, but the components seem to be better constructed, the lifetime warranty is better than Acorn (1 year), and there is no requirement to pay for an annual maintenance plan (Acorn and Bruno). Our lift was installed the same week we ordered it and it works great.

Fast paced high pressure sales Tried to charge $9,000.00 for a straight stairliftWay overpriced The rep got nasty once I told him that my mom needed time to think and get other estimates . He ended the appointment .The other weird thing was the reps shirt and vehicle said Leaf Filter ???He told me Leaf filter owned the stairlift company Harmar???That wasn’t true Very weird that a gutter company selling medical equipment .At least train the sales reps correctly .

We did not buy this product

We did not buy this product, but I feel like I must comment on our experience during the sales pitch. First of all, the prices that we got were far and away more expensive than other companies. I must say that the representative that came to our home was a lovey young man. I know he was only doing what he was trained to do. The quotes started out exceedingly high, more than twice as much as other companies. When we hesitated the salesman called his boss who continued to drop the price which was still very high. Then when I asked to have time to think it over and talk to each other, we were told that the price was only good for a matter of minutes. This seemed like a very bad business practice.the only reason we gave one star is because we knew that the person that was sent to our home was following his bosses protocol. We will definitely go with a different company

Leafhome stair lift review

The installatiom of my stair lift was completed in a very professional manner. The installer, Malique, did an excellent job and was very pleasant to work with. I would not hesitate to work with Malique again. The installation was done in a timely manner. He cleaned everything up upon completion. I was extremely pleased with every aspect of my purchase. Thank you!!!!

My stairlift (Lucille) is wonderful, when she's working.

Saturday it stopped and left me near the bottom of the stairs. I had to crawl up the stairs. The tech came out today and fixed (Lucille) my stairlift. I'm happy, happy, happy. Thanks Leaf Home.

Shady sales

This company/sales team should be ashamed of themselves. The sold my dad an $8,000 chair lift that goes to his basement that he does not need access to. He was with the salesperson and I happened to call him and explained to the salesperson that he has no need to go in his basement. He is and has been in poor health and can barely get around. It’s not like he needs to get to his bedroom up the stairs or anything. So he sold him this lift, which has been used three times in the last year and a half. And he mortgaged it for 15 years with 8% financing. My dad is now in hospice and we are supposed to pay off this useless equipment? Ridiculous.

I'm happy to pick Leafhome safety…

I'm happy to pick Leafhome safety solutions to have a stairlift THE salesman Billy Howard who sold me the stairlift was the most nicest and caring guy to do business with! He explained very well to me how the product was made and he gave me some discounts to help with the sale to me.I was very happy about the price ! The installer was very nice and polite to me while he was installing the product and answered all my questions. He had installed everything in a timely matter and was great at cleaning up his mess. Also he came on time to install. I would recommend having Leaf Home Solutions help getting their products and also service your products as well.Very nice people to deal with!

Scammers …

This place dies not know anything about how to treat a customer!! Charged me $150 to come out and plug in a stairlift. I talked to the repairman before he came out, told him my stairlift was beeping but it worked fine. You think he would've told me to check the plug he didn't, he came out plugged it in, then I was charged $150
