We had a Solidor installed a while back and after getting locked out far too many times by leaving a key on the inside, I decided to source a replacement Ultion WXM lock with an internal thumbturn.All you have to do is measure the lock and order the correct size you would think. However, I measured the existing lock as being 37mm either side and Ultion only offer it as 35mm/35mm or 40mm/40mm apparently, meaning it would either be too short or too long.I contacted lots of authorised resellers of Ultion locks, I contacted Ultion, I contacted Solidor and I contacted the company who put the door in for us.Without fail we were met with either no reply (the most common with companies doubling up as locksmiths and resellers who don't answer emails or the phone), a reply that was pointless and totally bereft of any product knowledge or common sense, or a reply where they told me to just go bigger (40mm).Then I stumbled across Lockshop Warehouse. I rang and spoke to Geoff who explained that although Ultion's 35/35 lock is sold as that, it is actually 37/37! He also mentioned that if I had gone with the other advise the 40/40 from Ultion is actually 42/42!Why oh why does no one else know this? If you are an authorised reseller of this product you should know this surely? So an instant answer without messing, a warm chat and simple answers to a couple of other questions, product ordered and in my door within 5 days (and it had to come via Ultion as I wanted to my existing key code).Very good prices and will definitely be ordering some extra locks already quoted for shortly.Highly recommended.
