I visited The Turnpike and while ordering I informed my server that I had pre purchased x 3 Groupon vouchers @ £18 each for x2 selected starters and selected sizzlers on each voucher. I then went on to place my order. Then the problem's started, neither the server or duty manager knew how to process Groupon vouchers. It was suggested I returned to my seat while they worked it out or seeked advice. Eventually my server said she had worked it out. Yay the first voucher scanned OK, then came the problem's, the other 2 vouchers purchased that very morning failed and kept failing. The system was saying they were either blocked or had already been used. The server insisted it was Groupons fault and nothing to do with Mitchells & Butlers. So I agreed to pay the full price of £69.95 of which I have the receipt. I have spoken at some length with Groupon and they assure me the 2 out of the 3 vouchers are still valid. I have copies of all transactions and conversations in text. If this matter can not be resolved, I will have to seek further advice else where!
