I would highly recommend Pickfords Solicitor. We chose them as our conveyancer for the purchase of our new home based on a recommendation from a family member. There was a lot of information the be given at first and the communication was great.As we went through the home buying process we found we were having a few difficulties as the allocated conveyancer was off sick and raised these with the firm. Our concerns were answered very promptly and very professionally with us being appointed a new conveyancer, Natalie.Honestly, Natalie has been fantastic during the process. She called us right away to introduce herself and get up to speed and really progressed our case along. The amount of communication from Natalie was brilliant and everything was explained in a simple enough way to be understood.Right up until the end of the process, Natalie worked hard to chase other’s involved in the house purchase and the sale of my old property to get everything over the line and completed. Without this I believe we would be weeks away from moving.Pickfords have been brilliant for us and Natalie really deserves extra recognition for the work she does.
We used them because the estate agents had them as a recommend solicitor and said to keep it in house. You have to do most of the initial work yourself and upload on Hoowla. Anyone who is not computer literate would find this a challenge.Never had any dealings with my solicitor not even an introduction. Only spoke to legal assistant. It became apparent that they did not understand leasehold properties very well and would just try and cover anything with indemnity policies (which were expensive). I did more research and I did not have to take out the 3 policies that they were requesting.I felt that there was a lack of communication and I was always chasing and finding solutions/answers to issues that came up. I would not use again.
Harpreet Kaur and Natalie Fowler were helpful, professional and friendly throughout the process of buying the house. We found the anti-money laundering laws in particular to be stressful and annoying and they guided us with patience and care.I have now used Pickfords for two house purchases, a business purchase and a business sale and found each experience to be equally rewarding and excellent, as well as being reasonably priced.Very highly recomended!
