Shockingly awful customer service and total lack of any kind of responsibility or help with Royal Mail!Royal Mail stated they'd attempted delivery (on the 14th), no chance as we were home all that day, with all home windows and doors open! RM also failed to leave a card. I phoned RM with the tracking no, who said they could re-deliver but not until the 19th (by which time plants would definitely be dead!). I had to go and collect them from local sorting office 12 miles away. I requested a postage refund from South Eastern Horticultural......who told me it was my responsibility to collect the plants before they perish ......£5.95 on paid tracked postage delivery£10.80 spent on fuel for a 24 mile round trip to collect from local sorting office (@ uk standard .45p per mile).£1.30 paid to park in centre of town near to sorting office. All in all delivery has cost me £18.05 ....almost the cost of the plants themselves, of which only half of them look like they'll survive due to the 3 day delivery delay (which I had to actually go and collect in the end!). The responses from SE Horticultural were rude, full of typos, and conveyed a total WE DON'T CARE attitude. They may be fine if all goes smoothly, but if not, you're on your own with no help from them whatsoever. I'll be travelling to a local (not so local as we live very rural) garden centre in future rather than trust this greedy money driven team!
