So I stumbled upon the ad for these on Instagram, and there was some sort of a gimmick or something to see what level of discount you’d “win”. I got 40% off. That was the main reason I even proceeded past that point…because when I saw the price tag of $80 +tax & shipping for a single pair of insoles I was like “wow, these must be for the 𝑐ℎ𝑟𝑜𝑛𝑖𝑐𝑎𝑙𝑙𝑦 height-challenged and/or desperate.” That being said, I ordered 2 items, the 2.0 version of the 3.2 inch insoles, and also the 2.0 HighAnkles socks. I made this purchase on 12/17/24, and they just arrived today (12/28/24). 11 days, not too bad and within their stated shipping speed. To be completely honest, I’ve never felt particularly short…I’m 5’11. And as a gay man, I don’t have that societal expectancy to be taller than my significant other the way straight men do. So I think I mostly bought these because I was feeling depressed & was craving that little dopamine/serotonin hit that online shopping provides. I figured, “hey maybe it can be a little social experiment, and I can see if strangers treat the 6’2” me any differently.” So, I should probably mention here that I’m a burly rugby player and I weigh 220lbs. It occurred to me that my weight would likely cause a decrease in the overall height I might expect to achieve, compared to someone of a more average 180lbs. But I didn’t see any mention of a weight limit within the product specifications….yet come to find out, these “3.2 inch” insoles don’t even give me a single additional inch of height! I tried them in multiple different kinds of shoes with different soles, and all of them have me just under 6’! I don’t know who they think they’re fooling! The height of the actual insole from the base to where your heel sits is exactly 1”, and that’s just holding it in your hand. Of course it’s going to compress when your whole body weight is on top of it! What a joke. Anyhoo, seeing as I made my purchase just a few minutes after having “won” the 40% off, I naively assumed my discount would be automatically added to my cart. NOPE. They deceptively hid my cart total from me too, which was why I didn’t catch it prior to completing the transaction! Right after I was taken to the Order Confirmed page (Order #54306) I get a text message instructing me to “USE CODE ____ TO REDEEM YOUR 40% OFF!” Yeah, little late for that. So now I’ve paid FULL PRICE for both items, neither of which even add an additional inch to my overall height. And then, after having completed my purchase, I kept receiving emails from them with titles like “YOU WERE SO CLOSE!” and “Your cart is calling!” alongside the accurate emails informing me of the progress of my order. I already read all the other critical reviews, and noted how for EVERY ONE OF THEM, there was a response of “we can’t seem to locate your order” so I’m not even gonna bother with trying to return these for a refund. I don’t have the patience, and quite frankly my time is worth more than the $150 I might recoup in the best-case scenario. But I wanted to write this in the hopes that it prevents someone else from making my same mistake. ZERO DOPAMINE TO BE GAINED HERE, go blow your money elsewhere! I definitely purchased these from BRANDONE, it’s unmistakable as every email as well as the “discreet packaging” is emblazoned with their all-caps white on black logo.
