I have a Compass J Savings Plan which is meant to cover prescription medications. I have been unable to claim my prescriptions because the pharmacy says my insurance is showing up as "inactive". After calling their hotline, I learnt that the Compass insurance card doesn't have a PCN, or Processor Control Number, which prevents pharmacies from billing Compass. Effectively, this means (to my knowledge) I have been unable to auto-fill my prescriptions, and that I have to pay upfront $500-$1000 at the pharmacy (and make a separate claim with Compass in the hope that they'll pay me back). This certainly doesn't sound like ideal prescription coverage to me. If anything, it comes across like a system that is designed to make it difficult for people to get their prescriptions.
