I ordered a 650-litre storage tank from Tanks Direct and was generally pleased with the product itself. It’s a robust unit and arrived in good condition, complete with the fittings and features described.However, the overall purchase experience wasn’t great. The website prices don’t include VAT or delivery charges until close to checkout—adding more than £70 to the cost for delivery, which was close to 25% of the base price. That felt misleading.I was also given an estimated delivery date of the 24th but it showed up on the 17th, with no prior warning until 8:00 AM that morning. Delivery was scheduled from 9:40 AM—fine if you’re home, but not ideal if you work or need to plan ahead.Overall, the tank is excellent, but the communication and transparency from Tanks Direct could be better.
