I really enjoyed every step of my sapphire purchase from THE NATURAL SAPPHIRE COMPANY: They made me a beautiful 18ct rose gold ring with an emerald cut sea green sapphire, flanked by two delicate Asscher-octagon diamonds; one on each side. They then engraved a secret love message inside... and that engraving service was free.I began my Natural Sapphire quest with plenty of searching time: I was after an exact shade of bluish-green gemstone that was not that easy to find. I wanted the colour to lean towards vivid green rather than vivid blue. On top of that, I was seeking either an Asscher cut; a radiant cut; or an emerald cut bluish-green sapphire. I found my gemstone!Contacting the company about this international, online purchase was simple. I filled in an online form, on their website. I was assigned Hannah as my Client Services assistant and she stayed with me throughout the entire searching and purchasing process. I admit I was excited and a bit nervous but I need not have worried. I was in good hands, all the way... Hannah proved to be highly professional at all times, as well as friendly and discreet. I felt I could comfortably ask her anything and she kept me informed, once my order was in. My Mastercard details needed some extra address verification in New York, so I did a very short video of my ID items and my face and Hannah dealt with the matter very promptly and so no problems arose. Hannah was also helpful over a FedEx import charges query as I was keen for the last stage of the delivery to be smooth, once my FedEx package was at an airport customs depot in England. Apart from receiving the ring, the most enjoyable part of all was choosing my gemstone from all of those on offer... I felt like a child in a sweet shop. Surprisingly for me, a sapphire can be navy blue; royal blue; cornflower blue; purple; green; pink; padparadscha-hued (differing shades of salmon pink); yellow; white; grey or even red (but a red one is what we call a ruby...) I was not expecting to become so keen or so enthralled! I've never worn much jewellery but Michael, who is the 3rd Generation President of The Natural Sapphire Company, is a hands-on expert - through and through. Michael's enthusiasm is inspiring. His videos about the company are informative and very enjoyable. I believe he really does earn a client's business. He has my trust. As I sought my ideal sapphire - colour; cut; and clarity being uppermost in my mind - along with some sapphire sparkle; I was able to view each gemstone, online; revolving and shimmering in differing light conditions. I found absolutely every piece of information I could possibly desire; from 3D Scan Reports to Appraisal Reports to Gemstone ID Reports... I knew the country of origin - Madagascar, in my chosen gemstone's case - and the exact size; dimensions; shape of cut; degree of symmetry; clarity; depth of colour; and whether or not the gemstone had been enhanced by heat treatment. The online certificates can be enlarged to scrutinise all of their details and my sapphire was within the range of everything I was seeking. An enormous gemstone would not have suited my small fingers; a heated gemstone would have compromised my sense of romance; and a really asymmetrical sapphire would not have been as visually pleasing. Gemstones are formed by incredibly powerful forces of nature and are not often absolutely perfect but deciding upon your first, second, and third priorities - first - seems like a good plan to me...I chose a ring setting that was not bespoke but perfect for my needs. I already had a ring guage at home to ensure a good fit. When my ring arrived via FedEx I was really excited and I loved it to bits. I even wrote a poem about it for the company and especially, for Hannah, who shared my gemstone journey.Thank you, Michael, for putting such passion and such an obvious desire for excellence into your company: In today's world, that is truely priceless.
