Very rude staff at Hull Branch I ordered two medium vegan teriyaki boxes with tofu and sesame seeds (as paid extras), along with a bottle of water. When my meal arrived, I couldn’t see any tofu, so I returned to the counter to query this. A member of staff took my fork and proceeded to dig through my meal in search of the tofu, eventually finding just four small pieces at the bottom of the box. I found this disappointing given the £3 surcharge for the tofu.I then told my husband, who had ordered the same meal, that the tofu must be at the bottom — but as he continued eating, he found no tofu at all in his box. I also checked, and I could clearly see it was missing. I returned to the counter to show the staff member, who simply stated that the cook had confirmed it was included and implied we were being dishonest because the meal had been partly eaten.I explained that my husband had been eating in good faith, expecting to find the tofu lower down in the box, as I had. However, the staff refused to add any tofu or remake the meal, and instead offered a refund for the tofu only. While we accepted this, it was offered without any real apology or recognition of the poor service we received. The whole experience was uncomfortable and upsetting, and it completely ruined what should have been a quick meal
