I'm reporting on my experience with Wyndham Vacation Ownership. What began as a supposed "free trip" win from a wedding expo raffle quickly revealed itself as a deceptive sales scheme.We were required to pay $532 for a "discounted" hotel stay in Florida, plus taxes and airfare, with the obligation to attend what was described as a 90-minute meeting. In reality, this meeting lasted SIX HOURS of relentless pressure from multiple salespeople. They portrayed the timeshare as an amazing investment we could pass down to our children, emphasizing "priority booking" and "bronze status" benefits.The high-pressure tactics continued until we eventually signed documents, we barely had time to review. Key concerns include:We were never properly informed about our legal right to rescind the contract.Our contract was mailed to us AFTER the rescission period expired.The loan terms and interest accrual were not clearly explained before signing.We were unable to book trips on three separate occasions despite availability claims.Our dedicated sales representative became unreachable once we had signed the paperwork.We've spent $8,300 so far with zero vacations to show for it.What was marketed as a "lifetime opportunity" has become a lifetime burden. Wyndham's sales tactics feel deliberately misleading, designed to rush consumers into commitments without full understanding of the financial obligations or contractual limitations.I strongly caution others to avoid these high-pressure presentations and carefully research timeshare ownership before considering Wyndham Vacation Ownership
