I used Wyoming LLC Attorney to set up my US LLC including an EIN application. During this process, they made a serious amateur mistake: the LLC name on the EIN application did not match the actual registered LLC name.
To their credit, once I discovered the error myself, they did resolve it by creating a new LLC with a new EIN. However, they never informed me that I also had to formally close the old EIN with the IRS. I only found out because I kept receiving letters from the IRS under the old LLC name and old EIN number — something they never flagged or warned me about.
Now I am being forced to send a letter from Europe to the IRS at my own expense to cancel the incorrect EIN. This is a costly and time-consuming process that should have been communicated to me from the start.
On top of that, the entire process took well over 8 weeks — far longer than expected and never properly communicated either.
When I contacted them via live chat to request compensation or at least some acknowledgment of responsibility, I received no clear resolution and am still waiting for an answer.
They fix their mistakes only when you find them yourself, and leave you to deal with the consequences alone. If you are a non-US resident relying on this company, make sure to verify every step yourself.
