As a resident of X1 Platform for over three years, I've witnessed a dramatic and deeply concerning decline in living standards. My experience provides a stark contrast between exceptional management and the current, dire state of affairs. I can now, with absolute certainty, advise prospective tenants: do NOT book with X1 Platform. For the majority of my tenancy, under Urban Evolution's management, X1 Platform was a truly desirable place to live. Maintenance requests were handled with impressive speed, communication was clear and responsive, and the entire building felt secure, well-maintained, and genuinely cared for. It was, without a doubt, worth the rent.Since X1 Lettings took over, however, the quality of living at X1 Platform hasn't just declined; it has plummeted into a state of serious disrepair and mismanagement. The building is being run into the ground, transforming what was once a positive living experience into a constant source of frustration and even danger.Communication Black Hole: Emailing X1 Lettings is futile; messages are consistently ignored. Even visiting their physical office results in being told to send an email – an email that will never receive a response. This complete lack of communication leaves residents feeling abandoned and without recourse for pressing issues.Building in Disarray & Dangerous Lifts: The building's basic functionality and structural integrity are severely compromised. One of the two crucial lifts has been non-operational for months. The remaining lift is a grave concern, regularly trapping residents inside. This isn't merely an inconvenience; it's a genuinely dangerous situation that X1 Lettings has failed to address with any urgency."Gym" is a Joke: What was once a functional amenity is now a neglected space. Three treadmills, essential gym equipment, have been out of order for months. Under Urban Evolution, broken equipment was fixed within days, demonstrating a commitment to resident well-being. X1 Lettings, in stark contrast, shows complete disregard.Decimated Security: The most alarming decline has been in security. We previously benefited from 24/7 on-site security, providing peace of mind and swift responses. Now, daytime security has been entirely removed, and there's a disturbing lack of urgency in addressing security complaints. The "Fixflo" system, intended for reporting issues, has become utterly useless, with responses being rare to non-existent.In summary, X1 Platform is no longer worth the rent. It is an overpriced, mismanaged, and increasingly unsafe environment. For students or young professionals considering accommodation in Liverpool, I implore you: do not make the mistake of booking at X1 Platform. Save yourself immense stress, disappointment, and potential safety risks. There are undoubtedly far better-managed and more responsible accommodation options available elsewhere in Liverpool.
