Avoid XDP.
My parcel was due for delivery on 26 March 2026, but the attempt failed due to access issues. After that, the tracking completely stopped updating. On 31 March 2026, I was told the parcel was lost, and then nothing. No updates, no accountability, no proper communication.
For the next two weeks, the parcel was effectively missing, and I had to repeatedly chase for information myself. Being told an item is lost and then left without any follow-up is completely unacceptable.
Then, out of nowhere, on 9 April 2026, the parcel suddenly “reappeared” and was scheduled for delivery the same day. The delivery was over two hours late, with no communication, leaving me constantly checking the tracking and wondering if it would fail again.
When the driver finally arrived, the situation only got worse. I could see from my window that the van was completely full, with parcels piled on top of each other. My parcel had been placed at the top, and while the driver was trying to move other boxes to access it, I saw it fall from approximately waist height.
Unsurprisingly, the box arrived in poor condition: visibly damaged and partially open.
I raised my concerns to the driver, explaining that the parcel had been missing for two weeks and that it was clearly damaged, but he did not acknowledge this and seemed only focused on taking a photo and completing the delivery as quickly as possible.
This was an expensive item delivered in a very large box, which I was unable to repackage or wrap. It was intended as a 30th birthday gift (8 April 2026), and due to the delay and the condition it arrived in, it was both late and embarrassing to present.
The entire experience from losing the parcel, to lack of communication, to careless handling, to poor interaction at delivery was completely unacceptable. For a delivery service, this is a fundamental failure.
I would not trust XDP with any parcel based on this experience.
