Review Time
Driver was great. Timely information great. But you know what is going to happen when 4 pieces of 1.7m long fragile wooden doors are sent by courier. Yes one corner was smashed and another part was damp. Unfortunately B&Q no longer have these available in store or for collection.
Literally awful. This is now our second experience with them. First time I watched the guy pulled up, walk to our door, take a picture of the door then jog away by the time I got to the door (10 seconds) he was already in his van driving away.
This time we watched them pull up, get out the van (I opened my front door so they couldn’t argue I was in and stood watching them) they then took a photo got in their van and drove away, 10 seconds later got a “sorry we missed you notification” I drove after them and confronted them.
They then claimed it’s with another drive and it will be delivered today. Can confirm it was not.
The delivery driver literally dumped my new door at the door and walked away, when I called him back I asked if he could place it in my doorway as I'm disabled female and poorly his response was no I don't get paid for that it's an insurance thing. It was pouring down I wasn't asking him to come in just to lift it above the step into the hall. But no. It's a shame because wickes are a good company the courier not so good.
Just leaves it propped up against the house. Watching me balance it (nearly falling twice) to nudge it into the house slowly. 2m high parcel containing a bed frame. I'm just over 5ft high.
Not sure why VERY have changed delivery companies. But it's definitely impacting my decision to order from somewhere else in the future.
Shocking experience. The parcel was delivered in a shocking state. It was punctured, battered, damp and filthy. I could hear the contents sliding around inside and when I spoke out about the damage, I was abruptly told 'no damage, open, if damage they sort'. Not only did it look like a return item but it had clearly been dropped more than once.
Your driver left the product outside knocked my door took a photo and walked off didn't even ask for the signature code, I have a new born baby they didnt even lift it through my door way ive had to go ask a neighbour to put it in my hallway, as it was a wardrobe i didnt even get chance to ask the driver! Yet DPD brought a different delivery in without me even asking a little bit of help goes a long way.
Appalling service. Told it would be delivered Monday/Tuesday and given no alternative date. Get a message on Thursday at 11am saying it will be delivered between 10.30 and 12.30. I would avoid ordering from a company if they used this courier service. No communication
The actual delivery and driver were fine (hence 2 stars) BUT getting there was the issue. I was originally informed of a vague two-day "time slot" which was changed. Another two day slot without a time window was given. Hopeless, I can't be expected to book a couple of days just in case. Then on the DAY of delivery (not previously confirmed) I was given a two hour window which was kept to. But to only be informed of this when it's too late is unreasonable. I had to leave work early to take delivery.
I tried to check with XDP whose chat option didn't have anyone available for getting close to an hour and was then told that the delivery would be attempted and if failed, they could request the next day delivery but it couldn't be confirmed.
Very poor in my opinion and as always, reflects bad on the company I purchased from.
