My experience has been horrendous. I Published two books with this company. Two, little children books (one of them is no more than 20 pages) which they have overpriced; and therefore the books are not selling. The company loses interest in the author once they have received payment and it seems to be all they are interested in is the money.I was also, convinced to buy 100 books and when I realised that I would never shift them, I contacted the company and that was a nightmare. They didn't want to know. I had to take this to the managing director.I recently tried to reduce the price of the books and I was told that I could set whatever price I wanted. I paid over £500 for this. When I paid, I received an email with a list of prices which alerted me to the fact that I did not have a choice about what I could reduce the price of the books to. I was also told that after paying more money to reduce the price of the books the royalty I would earn would be $1 per sale. This is not the agreement I signed originally with the company i.e. 25%, 10%, and 40% for the ebook the royalties being where it would be sold. The relationship with this company is very much one-sided. These are two very small children's books which I published with my granddaughter and it has de-motivated me so much. Not only that, children are being denied the pleasure of reading them because the price is astronomical. My view is that the only one that benefits from self-publishing is the company providing that service.
