I am currently the IT tech for my church who has been using Xplore since they purchased Swift in 2021. We originally had Xplornet when we first got internet at our church as they were the only provider in the area. Even back then, they would overload their towers, so in the evenings when we would need the internet it may as well have not been working. Then along comes Swift who’s promise was to never overload their towers, and they kept their promise. Then Xplornet comes along in 2021 and purchases Swift and their entire network. Service continues to be good until early 2024 when we start seeing drops in service.May 5, we received an email to say that they will be discontinuing our service as of June 24. This starts a slew of multiple phone calls and emails to find out what is going on.When calling tech support, once they realize that this is a commercial account, we are transferred to the business support.After a couple of emails with a client rep, we are informed that actually the tower we are connected with is going to be kept for the commercial connections. August 6, we get a notice that the legacy system we are connected with is being shutdown on August 30.August 16, receive a final notice that the legacy system is now being shutdown on August 26Cue the call to support, select call back, which turns into a 45 minute callSupport says there is nothing we can do, a rep will call meWhile on the call, am informed that actually the tower is being shutdown on October 30August 21, Still waiting for the rep to callConclusion: Back in May we were given the option to stay with Xplore, install and set up new hardware: $17,000, Monthly fee $629+tax for 100/100Mbps service. I will not fault the tech support with Xplore, I am a tech myself and the ones I have spoken with on the phone were great. The company on the other hand I absolutely despise, they bought out all the competition, overloaded their systems, and way overpriced everything. One of my friends has the Xplore 5G LTE and he can’t even watch a streaming service, their new system is absolute garbage. I don’t like saying this but the company deserves to shut down, I do feel sorry for all the employees when this happens.
