I purchased a Canada Goose coat from ZAP Clothing just three months ago. It has not been heavily worn, yet the stitching began to come undone, leaving feathers exposed through the seams. This has progressively gotten worse over time.
I contacted ZAP Clothing as soon as I noticed the issue. Their initial response was to ask for photos, which I provided — multiple clear images showing the exposed feathers and faulty stitching.
Instead of taking responsibility, I was told that this was “normal” and was given instructions on how to push the feathers back into the coat, which I found completely unacceptable given the cost of the item and how new it was. A premium, expensive coat should not require DIY fixes after a few months.
I replied explaining that this was a recent purchase and that this level of wear should not be happening. After weeks of back-and-forth emails, I was then told that the damage was my fault and that it was a “tear” — which it is not. The issue is clearly failed stitching.
Eventually, after pushing for them to review the case properly, I was told the matter had been escalated. That was over three weeks ago, and since then I have heard absolutely nothing. I followed up again and made it clear I would be leaving a public review if I didn’t receive a response. Today has come and gone — still no reply.
The lack of accountability, poor communication, and attempt to blame the customer for an obvious quality issue is extremely disappointing. I would strongly advise anyone considering a purchase from ZAP Clothing to think twice, especially when it comes to high-value items.
