On 02/27/26, I spoke to the ZenBusiness employee, Carlos R, and asked that he file an Amendment with the State of California for a Legal name change as I recently Married. I asked him to please email me a confirmation of the changes to the Amendment so that I could review everything and confirm it was correct. Carlos R indicated that the only thing he could send was a confirmation via email that just showed my name. I was not allowed to review and approve the actual form. Well, after waiting 11 days for something that should have taken minutes, I reviewed my filed Amendment, and I noticed Carlos R failed to update my legal name under the Directors section. He updated Officers names, but failed to update my new legal name under the Directors section. I was asked to pay a $25 fee for this incorrect filing on top of my yearly Pro Plan of $199 and my Worry Free Compliance costing $49. Even though this error was clearly an oversight and mistake made by the ZenBusiness employee, the $25 filing fee was not waived. I ended up filing the amendment myself which took me 2 minutes and cost me $5. I came to the realization ZenBusiness is an absolute rip off. I had been paying $250 per year for something that I can do myself and only costs $5. I then tried to cancel all of my ZenBusiness subcriptions. There is no way to cancel your subscriptions online. I was told I had to submit a written request. Well, I submitted my written request and they rejected it. They are now indicating they need a copy of the amendment I filed confirming they are no longer my registered agetns. I have submitted the proof of the amendment filed and I am hoping they will finally cancel my useless subcriptions.
