I signed up based on ZipRecruiter’s advertised 7-day free trial and claim that 4 out of 5 employers find a qualified candidate within a day.
I posted a Line Cook / Assistant Chef role. In 6 days, we received only 13 applications—most with little or no relevant experience. A few were borderline qualified, but none responded to outreach.
When I tried to cancel within the trial period, I was told there is no 7-day trial—only 2 days—and that cancellation would cost $145, despite their advertising stating otherwise. I was then offered to keep the ad up for a month for an additional $100. When I declined they came back with another offer, keeping the ad up for a month and “boosting” it at no extra charge. I declined again, I have no respect for companies that charge without providing the services they promise on the basis that somewhere in their fine print it states that they give no guarantees.
After this experience—and seeing similar reviews—I’d strongly advise against doing business with this company.
