Review Time
Machine doesn't engrave the advertised bed size, it will only cut it 12x24". On a 24" bed you can only engrave around 19 inches before getting buffer errors. Camera cuts out and you have to restart Lightburn all the time. Print and cut is terrible. It can't accurately print and cut at all. You have to reauto-focus EVERY TIME you run the laser. They release a firmware update to fix this and you can't even update it following their instructions. Autofocus limit switch is broken now. They sent the machines out programmed at 1g acceleration instead of 3g so the machine ran so slow for 8 months until someone noticed and fixed it. Been waiting on parts for a month now and nothing has been shipped. The sale guy Sakura is so painful to deal with. Just all around a disappointing company. The only bright side is the laser does engrave well and has been putting in work for many months now.
We purchased a Hydra 9. The delivery was easy. The driver put it right where we wanted it to go. The laser itself was packaged very well and was received with no damage. Setup was incredibly easy as all the cables etc. are well marked. I did have problems getting the glass tube working correctly. (The RF was fine). I scheduled a one hour tech support call with Sean. It ended up being 1 1/2 hours long but he never gave up getting it running correctly. After trying a few different things we opted to do a factory reset which fixed my issues! And now we are up and running again. I LOVE the way this cuts and engraves. So much easier than our old laser. Thanks Sean (and the other gentlemen who popped on the call as needed) for getting us up and running again!A good machine is important. Excellent customer service/tech support is even more important. I definitely received that today. I look forward to many projects completed on our new machine.
The XRF might be the best desktop C02 laser ever! I bought this machine to run leather patches for my business. My bigger laser is slow and can't do the detail I wanted. This laser has been about 2-3 times faster than my other laser and the detail is incredible from the RF tube! I was able to get a training meeting to go over some basics and feel confident to run the machine! If you're looking for a desktop laser to cut thin wood, leather, or acrylic this is the one!
The OneLaser team is second to none. Sean was incredibly knowledgeable and professional, helping me out on a variety of issues from basic setup to more advanced issues. Made sure all settings were correct and helped me with everything from basic setup to more advanced issues.
