ALX exposed me to experiences that, as a professional teacher, I was lacking. Through career essentials, professional foundation, partially completed Data Analytics, i have gained traction in my school. I have been seen and given critical roles in my school. Currently, I am applying my experience to build my own business.
The support from the community was and is impressive. The ALX community is helping individuals bring their dreams into reality, learn new skills to thrive in any given community. ALX Africa truly embodies the spirit of #DoHardThings. The program challenged me to step outside my comfort zone, tackle complex problems, and grow both technically and personally. The supportive mentors and collaborative community made the journey rewarding, and I now feel more confident about my career path.
Last year around this time, I enrolled in the ALX Frontend Web Development course. Later I realized I could take more than one course, and so I added Cloud Computing. Today, I am able to design responsive landing pages and websites whiles also taking my cloud Computing learning further by training as a DevOps Engineer.ALX provides the most structured and rigorous training I have experience by far in Africa. The ALX Ethiopia Professional Foundations course really helped me grow,not just professionally, but personally too.Coming from a customer/sales background, this course helped me transition into a more technical and product-focused role.
