My experience at ALX Africa has been challenging but very rewarding. The program is well-structured and focuses on real-world skills, especially problem-solving and self-discipline. What they do well is pushing learners to be independent while still providing a supportive community. It’s not easy, but it truly helps you grow both professionally and personally.
I started with Professional Foundations last year and I must say that it has really improved my tech skills. PF is actually a pivot that helps to shape and sharpens our foundation professionally.I’m now doing Data Science and Virtual Assistant and they’re both great. One thing I really love about ALX is that the learning materials are simplified and easy to learn and understand and also, the accompanying videos are sweet to watch.
When I joined ALX, I was simply trying to learn how to code, but the journey became much more personal than I expected. There were moments of doubt, moments where things did not make sense, and moments where I had to push myself harder than I thought I could. Through that process, I grew.The technical training challenged me to move beyond just understanding concepts to actually building real systems and solving problems on my own. But what truly shaped me was the Professional Foundations. It taught me how to communicate with clarity, manage my time with intention, and take real ownership of my growth.Along the way, I became more disciplined, more patient with myself, and more confident in my ability to figure things out. ALX did not just teach me how to code, it helped me believe that I can build, contribute, and create solutions that matter.

While the program can be intense and requires serious commitment and time management, it is absolutely worth it for anyone serious about breaking into tech. As I near my certification, I can confidently say ALX has played a key role in preparing me for this next step, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to transform their career.
