We’re a hardworking, family-run hospitality business already stretched to the limit, and our experience with Ash Waste has been an absolute nightmare from start to finish.
This company has repeatedly failed to collect our bins — not just once or twice, but consistently.
We got endless apologies and “we’re so sorry” calls, yet nothing ever changed. The incompetence was staggering. Because of their repeated missed collections, our business was genuinely at risk of serious trouble from the local council, with overflowing bins becoming a health hazard and a potential fine magnet.
For a small local business like ours, it was totally inconvenient. We don’t have the bandwidth to play waste-management babysitter on top of everything else we’re juggling.
When we finally had enough and asked to exit the contract early because of their failures, the 'nice' mask slipped completely.
What started as sympathy turned into stonewalling and outright hostility.
We’ve wasted months going round in circles with Liam and Rory, getting nowhere. It seems like their “legal team” are more like a delaying tactic than a real department.
At this point, I genuinely doubt it even exists — it’s just another way to drag this out and squeeze every last penny while refusing to take accountability.
Looking at the flood of other horror stories online, it’s painfully obvious this is their standard operating procedure — screw over customers, ignore complaints, then hide behind bureaucracy when people try to escape.
We made the mistake of not digging into those reviews before signing on the dotted line. Don’t make the same stupid error we did.
If you’re a busy business that actually needs reliable waste collection instead of endless headaches, run the other way from Ash Waste.
They have been unreliable, unprofessional, and utterly indifferent to the chaos they cause.
We’ve got enough stress keeping our venue afloat without these adding insult, aggravation, and potential fines to the mix.
Avoid at all costs.

Absolutely Amazing Service!We had what felt like never ending issues with bin collections through other companies, and hadn't heard of ASH Waste until the lovely Matthew knocked on our door - provided us with all the information needed without being at all pushy and helped with the entire move over process.With us being located on an industrial estate, not having overflowing bins and missed collections is crucial, but felt like a never ending task of chasing other companies in the past. Since moving we have had absolutely no issues, and have recommended to others on our sites, and will continue to.Matthew has provided consistent support even following the sign up, which I feel is unheard of elsewhere. We couldn't be any happier with the service.Cant wait to have our other site moved over, and we were more than happy to pay a termination fee to make this happen ASAP!
They were great on day taking my cable and good price. My only issue is site says instant payment, but they use Bacs which is 3 day system and didn't tell me or mention it at all on day , so if need money urgently don't go here
Absolutely shocking company. They never pick any of the bins up on the days they say. If they do pick them up they only half empty them or leave the rest all over the road. Sometimes they argue with me on the phone that they have emptied them, even though they are clearly sat full on my drive. I get told my bins have been put out too late, even though they live about 2metres from the gate. The price has gone from £70 a month to over £200 in less than 3 years, and they claim I cannot get out of the contract. Avoid these like the plague
If I could give them less stars I would. Terrible terms and conditions tying you in for years as other people mention unless you jump through hoops to cancel them, constantly increasing prices. Sharp practice. Their bin wagons constantly banging into our gates and not even having the courtesy to tell us, instead we have to find out by searching through our CCTV footage. Absolutely disgusting way to do business I don’t know how they all sleep at night. I’m sure when Chloe from Ash Waste comments she either won’t be able to find my account or wants me to call their office so they can help. Couldn’t think of anything worse than speaking to one of them on the phone. I really don’t understand who would want to work for them either having heard from a colleague who went to work for them. Safe to say they walked out after their first week. Lucky they weren’t signed into a 36 month contract!!!
