Review Time
Our 1st but definitely our last booking at AtoB!On June 6th we made a reservation and paid for a taxi from Vancouver Airport to our rented apartment on June 30th. The driver would wait in the arrival hall with a sign mentioning our name. The estimated arrival time of our flight KL681 was 15:50. Unfortunately the flight was delayed and the actual landing time was 16:20. If you are specialized in airport services you must check the actual arrival time and you must know that from the actual landing time you will need at least 1.1/4-1.1/2 hour for taxiing to the pier; get off the plane; walk to the luggage claim area and wait for your luggage. So why was the driver already waiting for us at 15:50? Our daughter and son in law entered the arrival hall at 17:45. They checked the arrival hall, no driver. They phoned him at 17:51. The driver already left the airport. According to him he tried to contact us by phone but unfortunately he had an incomplete phone number. AtoB offers up to 1 hour of complimentary waiting time at airports. The driver was only willing to return to the airport when they accept a penalty of CAD 150.So if the driver would be there around 18:10-18:20; a realistic time to meet us, there would no problem; because our daughter and son in law were in the arrival hall at around 17:45.Furthermore we made a second booking on June 12th for July 3rd 08:00 from the apartment to the RV rental location. Also this booking was paid in advance. On July 2nd at 08:39 AtoB sent a mail “we have to cancel your upcoming trip due to no availability at this time&date.” Checking reviews 9% of the reviews stated that the booked and paid in advance trip were cancelled, sometimes without informing the client!
