Very poor fraud management and…

Very poor fraud management and extremely weak customer protection.Both my father and I are clients of Bankinter, and we are currently dealing with two serious fraud cases that clearly show how ineffective the bank’s security and response systems are.My father was the victim of a phishing scam over three months ago. Following Bankinter’s instructions, he filed official reports with both the Police and the Guardia Civil. Since then, the bank has repeatedly claimed that they would “contact him” or “issue a resolution”. This has never happened. We have called numerous times and only receive delays, excuses and vague promises. After more than three months, nothing has been resolved.In my own case, about a month ago, my card details were stolen and fraudulent payments were made. Once again, Bankinter’s response was identical: report it to the Guardia Civil and wait. Based on my father’s experience, it is clear that this process leads nowhere.These cases highlight a serious issue: Bankinter’s fraud prevention and detection systems are inadequate. Suspicious transactions are not properly flagged, customers are not protected in real time, and when fraud occurs, the bank appears to shift responsibility entirely onto the client.I strongly advise anyone considering Bankinter — or anyone already banking with them — to be aware that if you become a victim of fraud, you may be left without support or resolution, even after providing official police reports.This review is written to apply public pressure so that Bankinter finally takes responsibility and acts, both in my father’s case and in mine.

Bankinter Ireland Deposit Account

This is for Bankinter Ireland.The worst Bank experience I have ever encountered in my 73 years of life.I signed up for their New Deposit Account in Ireland. I downloaded the App but it kept sending me error messages. After many emails and replies, I still couldn't sign in, so I cancelled my account. However Bankinter Ireland still took the money, putting my current Account into the RED.They still haven't reversed this illegal transaction and I am unable to make payments from my account.My advice is to steer well clear of Bankinter Ireland. There are just as good if not better deposit rates available from many more Banks in the EU.

Un banco que sigue en 2010

Bankinter es probablemente el peor banco online que he usado en toda mi vida. Tengo cuentas en BBVA, ING y Banco Sabadell y Bankinter es sin duda el peor. De Evo Bank nos migraron a Bankinter y directamente nos hicieron unas tarjetas de crédito sin nuestro consentimiento. Luego para darlas de baja tienes que llamar por supuesto, porque por la app no puedes hacer absolutamente nada. Siguen usando la tarjeta de coordenadas como si estuviéramos en 2010. Si quieres hacer una sencilla transferencia, necesitas la tarjeta de coordenadas. Haces una transferencia y llega a su destino 4 días después. Quieres hacer una gestión en el app y por supuesto no funciona, llamas por teléfono y te dicen que tienes que hacerlo desde la web. Esto último me ha pasado ya 4 veces. Pero estamos locos?? En 2025 vuestra app no tiene todas las funciones disponibles??? Una vergüenza, si tienes un mínimo de respeto por tu tiempo y tu dinero, este no es tu sitio. Recomiendo encarecidamente denunciar sus malas prácticas en el Banco de España. Tienen un sitio web para este tipo de denuncias y se puede hacer todo online y se tarda 10 minutos. Bankinter is probably the worst online bank I’ve ever used in my entire life. I have accounts with BBVA, ING, and Banco Sabadell, and Bankinter is by far the worst. We were migrated from Evo Bank to Bankinter, and they went ahead and issued credit cards without our consent. Then, of course, to cancel them you have to call — because you can’t do anything from the app.They’re still using a coordinate card like it’s 2010. If you want to make a simple transfer, you need the coordinate card. You make a transfer and it takes four days to arrive. You try to do something through the app, and of course it doesn’t work — you call by phone, and they tell you that you have to do it through the website. This has already happened to me four times. Are we crazy? It’s 2025 and your app still doesn’t have all the available functions???An absolute disgrace. If you have even the slightest respect for your time and your money, this is not the place for you.

Not possible to.register without DNI and a second surname

It needs a second surname and a DNI. While the pre-requisites do NOT list you HAVE to be Spanish, it turns out you just HAVE TO be Spanish. As in Hungary there is NO second surname, NOR, albeit being a Spanish resident for 4 years donI have a DNI - and I won't, unless I.become citizen. So next time, when you want to play nationalistic, just say it from the beginning!

Avoid this bank at all costs

Avoid this bank at all costs. An absolutely abysmal bank. There is not enough space to include the list of complaints I have for this bank. Non existent customer service, lack of response to queries or complaints, fraud being facilitated on my account - the SMS to alert of card usage mysteriously stopped functioning as my account was being drained with unknown transactions, locked out of my internet account and the bank failed to recognize my passport number and other identification, slow money transfer with local and international payments, no facility to deposit cash at the ATM machines, no response to phone calls or complaints. This bank functions outside of any banking rules or regulations. Avoid and use another.

Terrible experience!

I have a digital account, which means I can’t get assistance at a physical branch. Their online platforms are unreliable. I’ve been unable to recover my password due to a persistent website bug. There are no human agents available, only bots that give contradictory answers and fail to understand requests. The website is inconsistently displayed in both Spanish and English. On top of that, when login attempts fail, it’s unclear whether you still have more tries left or if your account has already been blocked.
