Wanted to charge for a video call £43.00 per cat (I have two) so that I could get flea treatment, a service that is usually free. As my cats have not been seen within a year they are unable to prescribe flea treatment. Stronghold is prescription only and other flea treatments do not work. They are aware that one of my cats is allergic to fleas and ended up on steroids a year ago when she pulled out a considerable amount of fur. I just do not have £106 in the bank spare at the moment for flea treatment! This is profiteering at its finest. What sort of vet does this at the expense of a cat being really unwell? Feel this is very unfair considering I would have taken both cats to the vets for free consultation if it was not for the current COVID 19 situation. I agree with other comments receptionists are very rude.
So my cat gets bought in as a stray hit and run. And because I'm poor no payment plan just a choice!!! Put him down or he will be re homed. Why re house a cat away from his family tearing our hearts out. I admire the career choice but have you chosen it for the right reasons. How can rehoming be anything but a punishment for us and the cat!! I don't no how people can put a price on a cat. ,
