We had an excellent experience with Beacon after being recommended by a family friend. Our caseworker was absolutely incredible and kept us informed from start to finish, which made the whole process feel clear and supported throughout. They were patient, empathetic and incredibly knowledgeable.

The expert analysis they provided was impeccable and proved invaluable in helping us win our case, with our appeal being fully upheld.

The service was professional at every stage, and we genuinely believe that without Beacon we would not have achieved this outcome. We are very grateful for their support and expertise.

Our Mother sadly passed away in December of last year after us battling with the ICB since January 2025. However now we feel that we have done her some justice and that's all thanks to Beacon and our amazing caseworker (they know who they are).

Beacon Advocacy in CHC funding

Beacon were an invaluable help to us in securing care and necessary funding to care for Mum at home, as she experienced a sudden decline in mobility and increase in pain due to Parkinsons. We would not have got through the CHC process without their advocacy. They guided and advised us through the delays and supported us with the frustration at the ICB’s processes and systemic flaws. Beacon are experienced providers of advice, casework and advocacy and their knowledge and expertise achieved the scheduling, representation and successful outcomes at three CHC reviews. Mum has now been cared for at home for two years and we simply could not have managed this without Beacon’s advocacy and CHC support. If you are in a similar situation I would highly recommend Beacon and would also advise you get your local MP on board too.

Great support every step of the way

I found about CHC funding by watching a TV advert, and whilst my husband was in hospital. My husband's complex health issues indicated that he could potentially be eligible for CHC funding. I got in contact with Beacon, and from the very first conversation I was so impressed by their knowledge about CHC and their professionalism. My advocate was very easy to talk to, she showed great empathy and understanding of my husband's very complex case. She really went above and beyond, and escalating issues when needed. Navigating CHC is not easy and it can be very stressful, but with Beacon and my advocate I felt fully supported and guided. I strongly recommend using Beacon.

Invaluable support for CHC

When I was looking for help about a CHC appeal for my mother, I found Beacon's website invaluable as a tool to collect thoughts and information. It was also the most thorough website for guiding me through the whole process and setting out different stages. Essential CHC support

I contacted Beacon for help and advice when mum was assessed for continuing healthcare funding. The stress of going through this process was made easier following conversations with multiple members of the team. They listened to my problems and arranged for experts to contact me and guide me through a very complicated process. They arranged a meeting prior to the completion of the main decision support tool to ensure we knew what was going to happen so we could prepare. We were successful in our application and mum has the care she needs. I cannot thank Beacon enough and I would highly recommend Beacon to anyone who has to go through this process as they are friendly, honest and reliable.

Beacon never failed to be there

Beacon never failed to be open, honest, supportive, and kind throughout our three-year journey into challenging the ICB's decision on my father's CHC funding. Every contact was approached with empathy and a drive to ensure we understood the journey and decisions as thoroughly as they did.While the cost was a little eye-watering, you are paying for their experience and skill - I would not have been able to navigate (and finally win!) the appeal without them. We knew the process we had been through had been flawed and that the original decision had not been correct, but without their in-depth knowledge of what the experience should have been, we would have stumbled through and lost heart.There were some hiccups initially; nothing is perfect. The NHS report contained several significant errors that our original caseworker did not pick up. I had to spend hours combing through and correcting multiple times. And originally, there was a significant wait between my request for their help and their first contact. On both points, I understand that they were understaffed at the time and dealing with a high demand (and it was over three years ago - things have changed!). Since that point, promises have been kept, paperwork has been accurate, and throughout, there has been genuine empathy for my father's individual needs. I will *always* recommend Beacon to those going through the CHC application process.

I arrived for my appointment today to…

I arrived for my appointment today to be told it had been cancelled..nice of them to let me know! It's common courtesy I was actually the 2nd person who turned up on Saturday so how can you say you dont do weekend appointments? The man on reception said you'd cancelled all appointments that day?
