Review Time
Our case worker always attentively responded to questions and queries with care and compassion. She was so knowledgeable and was able to to dedicate time, expertise and an understanding to our case. We will always be very grateful. Thank you

I recently used Beacon CHC to help with a local resulting appeal hearing, after my Mum was turned down for Continuing Healthcare. From the first hour of free help and advice to the service provided for the appeal, I can't praise Beacon enough. All emails were answered promptly and they helped to support me through what is a complex and stressful process. My appeal was successful. I wouldn't hesitate to re ommend Beacon CHC
I would like to express my gratitude for the outstanding support and professionalism I received from the staff. She was there for me during a very emotional time, offering a shoulder to lean on and patiently listening to all my concerns.I also want to acknowledge the help I received from the first point of contact before I was referred to the paying service. A gentleman explained the concept of the continuing healthcare budget to me, helping me understand how unfair the assessment conducted by the ICB was. Thank you very much, Beacon CHC!
I called Beacon after our CHC funding was stopped. I spoke to Mo twice and then had in depth discussion with Stella. They were both so helpful and understanding in what is an incredibly daunting situation. After the 90 minute discuss with Stella she sent us a 3 page email of advice and guidance. This was invaluable and information I couldn’t have collated alone. The process of calling, getting a response and setting up the 90 minute discussion was very quick. After having dealt with the NHS and social services over the past year and the frustrations with trying to get information and appointments with them my experience with Beacon couldn’t have been more different. My advice to anyone either going through a DST or who has had their funding stopped, please call Beacon you will not regret it. They will give you the confidence to appeal and will save you thousands of pounds in the long run. Thank you Mo & Stella
We didn’t achieve success with our DST, however our advocate was great and worked hard in our behalf. I put this down to the criteria being significantly tightened, with a strong focus on complexity, integration and unpredictability, which will remove many previously funded vulnerable people out of CHC funding.
From the first phone call to their support team, all the way through to the CHC process, Beacon were amazing. Even before we had instructed an advocate to our case, we were given so much advice and support which enabled us to not only get a CHC Checklist agreed to, but helped us secure interim funding and finally achieve CHC funding for my father. Even if we had not been successful in achieving this outcome, I would not have been able to fault Beacon. From their initial support helpline to the advocate who attended the CHC meeting with us, their help, advice and support was invaluable and they made an extremely difficult and emotional time easier to manage. We looked at several other companies who offer help navigating the CHC process, many of which were three times the cost that we ended up paying to Beacon. And none of the other companies offered such thorough advice and support. I would highly recommend Beacon to anyone who is trying to obtain CHC funding for their relative.
I am full of praise for Beacon, their support was amazing and I couldn’t have navigated the CHC process without them. Particular thanks to my Beacon advocates in this incredibly difficult and often soul-destroying process. As an only child my aim has always been to do the best for my Mum and with Beacon’s help we achieved this and won our appeal (sadly learning this 2 weeks after Mum’s death). I looked at several other companies providing CHC support including Beacon, even changing my mind last minute deciding to use them over their main competitor, so glad I did. I used both their free and paid services. They guided me through the process, and I believe had my ICB Nurse Assessor been different (and person centred) we would have not required paid services. However, anyone reading this will know the CHC process is not fair and takes a lasting toll on families. Beacon never pushed their paid services (quite the opposite) they empowered me, were transparent, honest and never over promised. When I was broken by the process, I genuinely felt their support, Anna &Mia from Beacon got me through it. Mia produced a fantastic appeal document totalling 64 pages of evidence, I can’t thank them enough.
Brilliant organisation - the initial free advice offered was extremely helpful, dense and thorough. We then opted to use Beacon to advocate for us during an CHC full funding appeal and further DST procedure. The advocate was great, very knowledgable and very strong in terms of advocacy. It is a bit like learning a new language when trying apply for and be awarded this funding for a family member so Beacon were invaluable. The appeal that Beacon advocated for was sucessful. Beacon were however clear throughout the process that whilst they believed our relative was eligible there were no guarantees, outcomes can be quite unpredictable despite clear guidelines.
