We dined at a local venue for a Christmas dinner with family, spending nearly £70 per person. Unfortunately, all three courses were of low quality, and the main dish was only lukewarm! It was drenched in a watery gravy that barely added flavor. The meal resembled a subpar microwave dinner. The atmosphere was lacking as well… I would NOT recommend this place. It was incredibly disappointing.

It was covered in a watery sauce with little flavor! It tasted like a low-quality microwave meal. The atmosphere was also lacking… I would NOT recommend this place. It was extremely disappointing.
The staff were excellent, but the mix grill on the first night was inedible and had to be sent back. The BBQ beef starter on the second night was dry and tasteless, resembling something meant for a pet. I was not impressed with the food from this establishment.
We booked a Sunday Roast for 16:45, the last time slot. As we were shown to our table, the staff member informed us there were no crispy prawns or chicken left. When I mentioned we had booked for the Sunday Roast, he then said there was no roast left either. We decided to see what else was available and ordered gammon with pineapple, chips, and peas. We had a 25% discount code for booking online, but they simply reduced the portion sizes to cover it. I received 11 chips, a tablespoon of peas, and a small piece of gammon. The presentation was poor, and it felt like a sneaky way to cut corners. Dining out is becoming less appealing for me, especially at this venue.
The 5-star review is primarily for my server, who was extremely professional, bubbly, and attentive. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for the food, which was mediocre. While the package deal was reasonably priced, I would have been disappointed had I paid full price.
At a local venue, the food was overpriced pub grub at steakhouse prices. The fillet steak was burnt and inedible, and the wrong dish was sent. The service was good until we paid, and when we expressed our dissatisfaction, the server dismissed our concerns and took the payment.
