Blocksi does both too much against and too little for students. The program itself is fundamentally flawed, with multiple workarounds to access restricted sites. In my school, students are allowed to freely go onto AO3, a website for (mainly) teenage sex hormones to go free and trauma dumping disguised as The Walking Dead fanfiction and YouTube mostly unrestricted.
Blocksi makes the student feel like they're being watched at all times. The program monitors students and if they go onto a restricted site, it automatically notifies you to the teacher. The teacher can also monitor what every student is doing at all times, making every second on your school device feel like a panopticon.
The one blessing/curse I can give Blocksi is that teachers are allowed more freedom to block/unblock sites on their own accord, but this can easily backfire if the teacher doesn't know how to use the program or the teacher is extremely strict.
Overall, Blocksi is an unreliable and cheap service that uses the proven unreliable (as of now) technology of AI to poorly block students from arbitrary sites and make them feel unnecessarily monitored at all times. I wouldn't be surprised if Blocksi was made by a couple of German dudes who used Claude AI to make a beta for a blocking system and sold it unchanged for millions of dollars because this sucks.
first, this is by far the worst school safety program. its does blanket bans that block actual education websites, along with other non-harmful websites, including the actual NASA website. really??not to mention the fact it monitors you out of school hours..

I'm trying to do science reading logs and this keeps getting in the direct way of my learning, I have another computer but I would like to do this at lunch where I don't have my home computer. if a blocksi offical sees this, please fix your program. it is acoustic.

Dehumanizes school and makes school feel like a dystopia. There is no privacy for anyone and can be monitored at home. It even blocks completely safe websites and completely appropriate YouTube videos and still somehow allows inappropriate videos.
I will acknowledge a majority of people leaving reviews are children who want Spotify, which is a perfectly reasonable thing to block-but there are some sites that get blocked that really shouldn't. It often blocks sites that are required to do assignments and sometimes blocks GOOGLE CLASSROOM! I feel monitoring websites used is good, but I feel it should be how you use it. Take for example Youtube, a hub for kids to watch games and memes which is reasonable for it to be blocked, but there are certain situations when you need Youtube for an assignment and just can't use it! I propose an idea, monitor what websites people go on and if they are fooling around or focusing on something important, if they are being bad then they should get a temporary ban from the website as a warning. If they ignore the warning and goof off again then the ban should happen.
