Purchased a blomberg condenser dryer after being convinced by the salesman in-store even though it wasn't one of my first choices. Registered for the extended warranty in April and lo and behold internal door lock mechanism failed in November. Ok so I reported it and an engineer would call within a week. Except he told us he was at customer premises and they were out. Ok ring cameras never picked it up so a second engineer sent out. Same result. Engineers sent to wrong address twice. Ok so third engineer sent and I made sure they knew address etc, arrived and arrived with no part to fix the machine. Reported it as a very disgruntled customer and was told a new machine was mine with an 'uplift' number to be quoted to original shop. So called them and said yes a new dryer will be sorted! Hurrah. However phone call following day said no an engineer was sourcing the part. Ok got an email today saying will take 5-10 working days to arrive then they have to call to fit. So January sometime if I am lucky. Basically go for a more established make not Bloomberg and secondly the extended warranty is sort of rubbish as waiting for over a month and looks like it will be another month before gets fixed if it does. So Christmas will be buy a new branded dryer and sell blomberg once fixed or have washing hanging around house. As said before customer service is dead with a lot of companies who really don't make the effort to sort out even if you get extended warranty. Two stars as the people on the phone are pleasant but don't know what they are doing.
Blomberg D/W not working with error code E01 luckily a couple of weeks before my warranty expires. It’s almost like they’re designed to fail bang on the warranty period expiry! Customer Service poor to say the least. Only way to contact them is by phone but that’s when the fun starts! Old trick of one customer service rep transferring you to the “correct dept” even though you are through to the right dept via their telephone system, and happening again until you then say please put me through to your manager and your on hold indefinitely! Eventually the “manager” says you’re through to the wrong dept as well!! The on hold music is on a loop that stops every 20 secs to make you think your through but no! It’s like a form of torture! While waiting called on another phone and eventually get someone that does his job and knows what dept and actually gives me a direct line number in case! (Well done and thanks Chris)I eventually get through and even though I have a 5 year Warranty in writing via email from Blomberg they have none of my details on their system- apparently the 5 year warranty is very rare and I have to wait while they check my warranty while I’m on hold again. Eventually Engineer appointment booked 6 days from call which lasted just over an hour with two phones running in parallel on hold! See how the repair goes and update my review after that. We had been pleased with how our D/W had been working but based on the pathetic system Blomberg, Beko, Hotpoint and Domestic & General use I won’t be buying any other appliances from those manufacturers!Update on repair booking - their system of dates doesn’t work having just had a call from the Engineer who are fully booked for another couple of weeks!
Contacted today re unable to remove error code item was fitted19 mths ago and has worked fine previously Told to contact whoever fitted it as would be faulty fittingIndependant person inspected and sorted within few minsThanks Blomberg 5 year worthless guarantee
Purchased a built in oven in January 2023 with a 5 year warranty. The oven itself has had issues with hot spots meaning have to move some items around to avoid burning. Told this is a common problem with ovens!! However, the present issue is with trying to replace 2 knobs that have faded making it difficult to know what temperature and function has been selected. I phoned the number in the info book supplied with the oven. After waiting 13 minutes to speak to someone informed that I needed another number. Rang new number and having spoken to 3 more people finally got an agreement to get the required parts. This took another 39 minutes. To buy the new knobs would cost £52 each. The oven when new cost £400. Why do 2 small parts cost 25% of the purchase price?
We bought a Blomberg integrated washer/dryer just over two years ago, one of the selling points was the 5 year guarantee. In the 2 and a bit years we have owned the machine we have required engineers to visit 5 times, each time leaving us without a washing machine between 2 and 14 days. All the repairs have been covered, but not the lost time/laundrette cost. We asked if we just have a faulty machine and were told we have to have 3 engineer visits before they would consider replacing. The last visit they had to replace pretty much all the internals (drum, heating element, etc…) and it has now broken a fifth time and a replacement or refund not forthcoming. We were recommended the brand/machine by a local shop, we would not buy again.
Very disappointed in this tumble with the heat pump it takes forever to dry anything and never ever feels completely dry properly. It seems to be a constant noise just going and going.I have the up to 7kg side and the drum is very narrow restricting actual tumble motions.
This company is worth their weight in gold. They are very reliable. I had purchased a hub from the company and unfortunately there was a minor fault they offered to replace it at no extra charge. The customer service was impeccable and the replacement was available within 48 hours highly recommended.
