Windstream installed fiber optics to my mom’s house this week and tore the electrical line going to her pump. She is 73 years old and is now not able to use her pump and has no access to water. They told her she had to wait until Monday before they would send anyone out because they don’t work on weekends.
If I could give a 0 review I would. Intermittent internet service for the entire town. Terrible customer service. Frequent price changes. They make cancelling such a hassle it’s almost better just to use my phone hotspot. Do yourself a favor and find someone else…anyone else…hell, smoke signals would search Google better than this service.
My experience has been frustrating. They initially charged me $60 a month, but suddenly my bill jumped to $120. I've been a customer for two years, and after they installed fiber optic cable at my home, the Internet hasn't worked since. They won't send someone to fix it for a month. I'm fed up with their misleading practices and poor customer service. I have nothing positive to say about this experience; it's been the worst I've had in a long time.
The service has demonstrated remarkable reliability and offers incredibly fast broadband in my rural area. The fiber connection is a significant upgrade from what was available before. I've suggested this service to multiple individuals.
The internet connection is highly unstable, and this problem has been ongoing for several months with no solution. I have submitted detailed logs indicating that the issue lies with the service provider, affecting multiple homes in the area. The support team seems more focused on closing tickets rather than truly addressing the problems. I am now relying on a mobile hotspot for work because the service cannot provide a reliable connection for essential applications. If it were possible to give zero stars, I would. I cannot recommend this service.

If you value your peace of mind, steer clear of this provider. Consider alternatives like other providers or even makeshift solutions. It's frustrating that the service goes down two to three times a month, yet they continue to charge the same monthly fee, even when service is lacking. Online chat is unavailable and phone support is often unresponsive when issues arise.
My monthly bill has skyrocketed from $54 to $146 over the past five months. The internet connection drops during rain, customer support is virtually non-existent as calls are often dropped, and the company has a history of financial defaults. All of this for a maximum speed of 25 Mbps at best.
The technician arrived promptly and introduced himself before assessing the area that needed attention. He efficiently addressed potential challenges and, despite the thick walls, managed to provide me with fast internet service. I would definitely request this technician again for any future needs, as his service was truly exceptional.
