I paid €1,800 deposit to Brasa Building on 11 Dec 2025 for pergola works. The work was supposed to start on 14 Dec, then 26/27 Dec, then early Feb, and finally 16 Feb — none of these dates were honoured.
I stayed home on 16 Feb as promised, but he only dropped off some tiles.He said he would start on 17 Feb, but he did not show up. I told him any later than 17 Feb, he must refund me.
Update :
19/02/2026 - Brasa agreed to refund 700e and I can keep the door. Things resolved amicably.

I hired BRASA BUILDING (operating as brasabuilding.ie) to renovate two bathrooms and install a kitchen splashback. Things started well, but as the job progressed, serious problems appeared and the work was left unfinished.I had to repeatedly chase George to return and properly seal toilets, sinks, and shower areas. Some issues were never resolved. A shower window was installed incorrectly, causing leaks into the corridor. The bathtub was sealed without removing the plastic cover, resulting in a dirty and unprofessional finish. Tiles were poorly grouted, misaligned, and some were visibly damaged. The kitchen splashback finish is unacceptable, with plugs misaligned and loose.The shower doors were installed upside down. George later blamed the poor outcome on “low-quality products,” which is simply untrue — product quality has nothing to do with installing shower doors upside down. He later admitted it took him one full day, with help from another worker (Adrian), because he didn’t know how to fit them.Adrian, who tiled part of the bathrooms, did a good job. Unfortunately, most of the work George personally carried out was poorly done and had to be fixed by someone else. I had to hire another professional to finish the bathrooms, reinstall radiators, and correct leaks and damage left behind. This caused unnecessary stress, extra costs, and delays.Communication was extremely unprofessional. George missed agreed deadlines, then blamed me for arriving at the agreed time and “distracting” him. Later, he said the job was too far away and that he wasn’t available to return — despite having no issue with the location when taking the job. Eventually, he ignored calls and messages and blocked me on WhatsApp and social media.George claims he offered to redo or fix the work. That is false. He never offered to properly redo the work, despite a signed contract stating a 5-year warranty. Holes were left in bathroom walls, which I documented and sent photos of — he even joked about my complaints. I also found messages where George admitted to another client that he was not insured in December 2024, contradicting what he told me.Nearly 11 months later (20/12/2025), George finally replied to my email. Expecting me to immediately provide dates for rework after such a delay is unreasonable.I am not satisfied with any of the work done on the two bathrooms or the kitchen splashback. The only reason the house is now usable is because I paid other professionals to fix his mistakes. I wish I could post photos here to show the true quality of the work.Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. Poor workmanship, unfinished jobs, lack of accountability, and dishonest communication.Update 24/12/25 - George agreed to bring someone here to fix the splashback. We set a date and time and he didn't show up. He then offered a refund which I didnt receive yet and he ignored the last 2 messages I sent asking for an update on the refund. 07/01/26 - now Brasa Buildin owner is blackmailing me, saying he will only pay my refund if I delete the reviews about his company and work provided.

They helped us with ideas, materials, and layout, and the final result exceeded our expectations.The work was done to a very high standard, always kept clean, and finished within the agreed timeframe. Terrible customer service. I sent a detailed plan for what I want to do in my yard in my request to them. They had me wait for 2 weeks before they eventually replied and yet still asked questions that were already in my proposal.
