Don't even bother

Don't even bother! My grandson - 12 years old and mad keen on Lego was furious at the price of sets. This was the Hutton Moor event on the 25th Oct. How they had the CHEEK to charge anything let alone the amount they DID charge was beyond me. Hardly any displays or anything to do just stalls with overpriced Lego. Absolute rip off.

1 star is being generous

If there was a minus star, i would be selecting that - 1 star is generous! Mainly vendors, unimpressive displays, activities were aimed at the young market (albeit simple activities!), nothing for the adult fans. Went to the Coventry show, no signage to the event, overpriced beverages, crappy "free gift" for early entry. £50 just on tickets and car parking - a massive con! Would highly recommend people avoid and save your money! This was our first time and we were really convinced by the adverts which are a blatant lie - will NOT be attending another and would suggest that instead of attending this event, go buy a lego set from Smythes Toystore for a considerably lower price and build it in the comfort of your own home! Give the marketing dept a raise because they certainly know how to reel people in!

Be careful when booking they allow you to book 10am adult entry online but no child's i emailed they confirmed all the same entry time but then when you get to the event your ticket don't scan and tell you infront of your child you would need to upgrade this gets parents the guilt trip of paying the extra they also double charged me don't waste your money and just go lego land

Manchester event an absolute joke

This event was good when it was held at the Central convention center. Now at the sugden sports centre It was an absolute rip off. They are charging you ticket prices to go in to a Lego market. There was about five small displays of Lego. The rest was stalls. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Paid £28 for 4 tickets but would not have bothered if I had known. It was one big LEGO car boot sale. Few models to look at and venue like a dungeon😒

Not sure whhat happened

Not sure whhat happened, did the displays get the wrong weekend, did the sellers just buy from Smiths and mark up the price? There was about 12 sellers of lego kits and several others for figures, Only 1 diarama of 2foot by 2 foot, a few cars of the modern current kits and several Large block Star wars ships. Add a few wall art that s it. The prices were bad, 150 for the current 3cpo i got for 100 at game. still 100 or so at Smiths. Next to no retired kits if were way over priced. I know the prices cause i left after 15mins after going round the venders twice. So i went to Smiths 5mins drive away, and got some kits there for a lot less, Harry potter malfroys man, 140 down to 125 bargin at show. 100 at Smiths. Unless the space port was in the sky, there was no 30foot displays just lots of empty tables. And i paid 13 quid ea to get early access. Sorry poor showing all round. Only interesting point were the dino egg sets. 5 of them.

Not worth a trip !

Not worth a trip !! Atleast considering that your only option is shopping.. yes, it's a sale event and nothing great for kids to play or spend time at this event except for shopping at extra pricey rates. I'm better off going to a store and shop. Then why even charge for entry, to do business selling your items.. Not worth a penny and very much disappointed😕

Lego birthday fun

A birthday present for my grandson, and having a love for Legos! Venue was great, convenient, entrance/exit clear. There were many areas to stop and create/build legos, floor puzzle--great idea (have enough bricks for floor puzzle!), and areas to add stickers to lanyard for an additional prize. Lego pools were cute, fun for the kids (a little concerning for germ factor). Food area a plus. Recommendations: better/brighter lighting/backgrounds to make it "fun/exciting" to see everything, music would be a plus; more live "characters" to walk around, take pictures with; additional bricks for floor puzzle; kids sizes for shirts/hats. In sum, a nice/fun event!

Don't buy the merch!

I inquired about looking at the size of the shirt for comparison against my son. The worker told me she couldn't open the shirt to do that. The only thing my son wanted from the show was a shirt. So i purchased an adult small as my son is a size 16 in kids. Opened the shirt and it looked like a kids medium. Asked the worker if I could exchange it for a bigger size. She replied with, "No, sorry we can't do that" and said "Next". My son is so upest that he can't wear a $30 shirt I bought him.
