The club arrived and in good nick but decided I needed a loftier wedge so arranged a return, so far so good, I returned it via UPS. Not easy as the UPS site is bad and ultimately no local drop off points. Returned it, no refund, left if a while 2 weeks no refund. Contacted them via online form as well as email using the email address, nothing, waited a few days nothing, after three follow up email as still nothing then three days after last contact email telling me my credit card failed. Had to ring in, rang in, online team busy, will ring me back..........nothing.......
Ordered a wedge and it arrived as planned, club as in good condition but they couldn't even clean the club came complete with dirt in all the grooves and head. Fat chance trying to reach anyone in customer service or even on the website account info page just keeps saying we have a problem try again. I should have just bought new from the store it is not worth trying to save a little on a club with a company with this type of service.
Four days after my purchase, it showed that my order was still processing. This was the time that the delivery was should’ve happened according to the projected delivery time. I called the customer service line and waited on hold for 25 minutes before connecting with a customer service rep. The customer service rep told me they had issues that week with their shipping and that there would be a delay, but it should ship out that day. Two days later, I get a message saying the club is not in stock. So the problem seems to be that they sold a club that they did not have. Unfortunately, that email did not trigger my refund. Three days later, I’m still trying to get in touch with them to issue a refund and my order still shows as processing.
So over the last few weeks I decided to upgrade some of the clubs in my bag I stumbled upon Callaway Preowned. I was looking for a 3w, 3h &4h and fortunatly found all of these in the Big Bertha range with stiff shafts. 2 clubs were listed as very good and the other average. the very good were approx £109 each and the average £85 - I thought this was worth a punt. Well they arrived today and I have to say I was BUZZZING. All clubs looked brand new / never been hit and came with the appropriate headcovers. the 3h that was classed as average had a little paint defect on the crown, most likely where it had been rubbing against another club, but for £84 i can get over that. Needless to say I would highly recommend buying from Callaway especially as they offer a 14 day money back return if you arent satisfied. Absolute bargain, if you can find what youre looking for dont hesitate. Shipped monday - arrived Wednesday morning (free postage). Ace!
What happened to their service? I have purchased clubs from Callaway Pre-Owned for years, including full sets of irons and countless single clubs. I have always had great experiences, but this has absolutely changed. I just purchased two clubs that showed up in markedly worse condition than I have come to expect. I have tried a dozen times to complete a return online and the website will just not process it. I have now tried to call six times over a week and have done nothing but sit on hold.
Have been waiting almost two months for refunds on clubs that were returned to their dock. Sent item in worse condition than advertised. Emails take 5 days to get a response and all they send is a canned form letter each time. No one answers the phone at customer service either. Never ordering from them again, a complete joke.
I ordered two clubs--they notified me a week after the order that one of them was out of stock. For the other, they sent a left-handed club instead of a right-handed club. I waited on hold for an hour to speak to someone and gave up. Abysmal customer service. I sent an email and will see if they reply.
This review is about Callaway, not the clubs. I have not played the clubs yet, but they are very similar to my old blades. First off, Callaway ships these clubs without any packing or protection of any kind between the clubs. They just put all the clubs in a box and off they go, subject to getting jostled around and banged up through the course of shipping. Upon inspecting the clubs I see some scuff marks on the backs that are definitely from the lack of protection, as well as a few little dings that could be from the shipping. Then looking at the pitching wedge I see a gap between the ferrule and the club head, and if I hold the grip in one hand and the club head in the other, I can wiggle the head an eight inch or so back and forth. So they don't even do a proper inspection of them before shipping them off. They called the condition of these as very good, but yet one club has a loose club head!! After E-mailing customer service about this, the rep says to take it to a shop and get it fixed!! He did say to send in the bill and they would refund me for it, but frankly I should not have to go get a club fixed, that's their job. I don't happen to live near a golf shop, so it will cost me a lot of time and driving to get a club fixed that should never have arrived like this.
Callaway Pre-Owned received my trade in iron set over a month ago. I still have not received the $500 credit on my credit card. I called and waited 35 minutes on hold before talking to a rep. He informed me that they moved to a new location and they were working on clubs received the day before mine were received. Totally unacceptable for a Company of this size.
