Review Time
I bought a 10.8V 8800 mAh HP Pavilion DV6-1253CA replacement battery for my laptop. It came with a 1-year warranty from the manufacturer, AolsteCell, so I thought that, as with previous batteries bought for other laptops, this battery should last 3 years as I primarily use my AC power cord when using my device. I would only need to charge the battery maybe once every 3 - 4 weeks. Same routine as with previous batteries. Much to my surprise however, the battery started to noticeably fail to hold a charge at about month 8 and by month 10 or 11, I couldn't get more than about 1/2 hour run time on a full charge. In total, I probably charged the battery maybe a dozen times max before it wouldn't hold any charge. A big waste of money. Would not buy this brand/product again.
Having never purchased a battery from this source before, the price and reviews were a big part of my decision. Happily, this replacement battery for my Dell XPS13 (9350) exceeded my expectation. It arrived quickly and well packaged. It contained the necessary tools to complete the installation. It was a perfect fit and had ample charge for initial testing. After the 15 minute simple installation, and a 1.5hr top up for full charge, the laptop is now restored to like-new condition. I'll buy from here again.
I made a brief search online, among the three AFFORDABLE batteries I found for my laptop, here was (I think) the best price. (Also, another site was dubious, only going through price & shipping estimates resulted in a "bill" I "had to pay" and several e-mails.)The transaction went smoothly, the shipping too (especially that I had it delivered to a secure mailbox). The battery isn't top quality, but... as I said, it was the cheapest. It's about half the weight of the old one, it drains fast, but I don't have all those messages that I must change the battery.Also: it must be calibrated !(Doing the calibration I discovered how fast it drains... reason for which I'm not sure the calibration was done properly. The analysis shows it was, but... as I said, it drains fast).
so far so good- I just installed it so cannot say anything about performance/durability. 4* only because the screwdrivers are made of cheap steel- the Lenovo idiots used max force to screwed in the battery- I had to remove to screws with pliers/screwdriver worn out together with the screws.
