I signed up online to look at the menu (can't look at it otherwise) and then cancelled my subscription same day, about an hour or so later.
Get an email a few days later and my box was shipped?? What box? I cancelled?! I was gonna say screw it and just try the box anyways, I was interested in the product after all. So I was charged for a box Feb 16th, and it's Feb 25th and I still haven't received anything.
I did contact for a refund today which they said they will process, hopefully it comes. But according to Purolator the box was sent back to the shipper as "damaged"?
So it feels like I was charged for a product I didn't want and would never actually receive. Don't like that. Too bad as this is a Canadian company I wanted to support.
My delivery was uncessful (after i waited for it all day). Then i had to call customer service (they put the responsibility on you even though it's their error) and they won't refund you. All they keep saying is that a second attempt at delivery will be made the next day. I told them i would not be available and all they kept repeating there was nothing they could do. Next day ...still nothing. Can't put in a complaint until the order is complete. So much for my meal prepping for the week. What a waste of time and money.
The service is excellent, and the pricing is reasonable. However, the recipe selection really falls short. My main issue is the lack of unique meals; many are just standard recipes or slight variations, lacking excitement. I switched back to another service after the previous one couldn't deliver consistently. I do miss their diverse food options, so I recommend checking their website for a better selection.
This service feels like having a personal chef; meals arrive, and I just enjoy the cooking. Most dishes taste excellent and feel somewhat upscale. I've encountered minor ingredient issues a couple of times, but the support team resolved them quickly. Overall, I rate it solidly at 4 stars.
The food is tasty and the variety is decent. However, I dislike that some meals come with an extra cost. The website could be more user-friendly since browsing through the many meals can be time-consuming. I'd appreciate a way to filter out higher-priced items and meals that we wouldn't order. Overall, it has reduced our waste and works out better financially than grocery shopping.
My delivery was supposed to arrive on Dec 1, but it never showed up. I received an email at 6 PM saying there was a delivery problem and it would come the next day. This was frustrating, as I had nothing prepared for dinner and ended up having toast. If I had been informed sooner, I could have picked up something proper on my way home. I'm hesitant to order again.
