BEWARE

BEWAREClear check charge 4 x the price of a standard dbs check and take weeks!!! And don’t tell you about extra costs which are surprise surprise mandatory!Similar to another review I asked for a full refund and was told they’d done 3/4 of the work - no S%}t Sherlock it happens in seconds on the Gov website.What I don’t understand is how I clicked a gov link in an email from a charity and ended up on their site ….You can obtain a DBS in hours on the official government website.

Not impressed

Charmaine has requested I give feedback and whilst she did her job correctly - responded with set time scales and requested info as per the application - and was professional in her approach, The company itself has a few gaping flaws.The privacy Notice assures that data is safe with them, yet drivers license and marriage certificate were requested over unencrypted email after the application - cant guarantee data security over email.The Digital ID that takes a pic of me and a pic of my passport costs £15 - ridiculous and less with competitors.The full application for a £21 DBS including that £15 is £93 - 3 times the price for using a digital platform to fill out some details and upload some documents. Much more than competitors.Pricing needs considered.Platform needs modified to allow for extra documents to be uploaded rather than requesting via email. Getting a DBS is for the special few working with the vulnerable - should they be penalised with high costs in order to do that?
