Review Time
I was locked out, the man was here within 10 minutes. Which was great. Managed to get me in my house within another 10 minutes, also great. But! Then I came to pay! £450!!! Nearly choked. The man was lovely though and before he told me the price I had got £20 out of my purse to give him a tip. It went straight back in my purse after paying. I was expecting it to be expensive, around £200 for quick response but found £450 was too much. Ah well we live and learn!
Really terrible service and price commitment. Their website quotes prices nothing like when the locksmith shows up. Even when you call for an accurate price, they’ll only tell you the call out fee and maybe quote a very cheap lock but it’s nothing like that when the locksmith arrives. I locked myself out, just needed entry back into the house. Called these and specifically asked for a quote - they said £50 call out plus the cost of the lock which starts at £60 - so I was expecting a bill of £110-£150 or within that region. When the locksmith arrived - he immediately said that the cost of a new lock and labour would be close to £400 - at which point - I clearly refused and stated that it was almost 10x the price I had seen online and 5-6x the price I’d been quoted over the phone. After debating the price - he said the cheapest he would do would drill the door open for £220 - not secure it and not change the lock - simply drill the door lock off and the minimum cost would be £220. So, I either pay: £400 for a new lock £220 for the door to be drilled open and left unsecured £50 call out fee and no work completed. They were the options I was left with. This is absolutely appalling considering I called to and specified an accurate quote before they sent a locksmith. Their website mentions over 500 reviews with a 4.9 average - I believe this to be untrue especially given that I’m currently writing their first review on this site and their website provides no option to leave a review. It is concerning how many other people may have been in a similar situation and unable to make others aware
