The best clone voice app I have found. What I like is that Paul Ponna continues to upgrade the apps at no extra charge. Highly recommended this and all of his products (which I bought).
Avoid at all costs. Quality is not there. This is just another over-hyped tool. The AI cloning is low quality, but the support is the real nightmare. They respond like a bad AI bot—short, generic answers that ignore what you actually asked. They dragged out my refund request for weeks (ignoring me from Thursday to Monday every time). They are quick to grab your cash, but once you realize it doesn't work, you are on your own. Run away.
• Yet 'another' Paul Poona 'creation' that promises a LOT and yet actually fails to deliver to the full extent on the software’s vaunted potential.• A number of attempts were made to use this software – assiduously following the speeded-up 'Training Video' – (which is hard to follow unless slowed down by 15% by using a Video Screen Recorder – such as 'Screenflow *****) – and in all cases our studio was unable to achieve the kinds of results that were so convincingly displayed in the Promotional Pitch video.• … And this, despite paying for the 'all-bells-and-whistles' version at $147.00.• The 'Support Team' responded in a typical ‘Sub-Continental Indian manner’ – (no racial slur intended – merely observed fact) – by offering the usual readily scripted bromides that are ‘cut-and-paste’ solutions and effected when the so-called 'Support Agent' doesn't ACTUALLY bother to READ what is the issue but engages the usual knee-jerk reaction of dashing-off a reply as quickly as possible – so as to move onto the next case.: NOT impressed.• But then again, as previously – and neutrally stated – this seems to be par for the course when ‘second-string’ personnel are employed in relatively easy tasks not soliciting the use of any serious brain-power • In THEORY the software is actually very exciting: in PRACTICE, however, whilst it might conceivably be useful in a number of passe-partout, 'easy-come, easy-go, not-too-concerned-about-quality-of-end-result' situations, for anything remotely SERIOUS the amount of time required to obtain ANY salient and genuinely useful results actually makes this supposedly 'time-and-money'-saving purchase a 'dubious' investment, at best• Hence the 2-stars: because it DOES have 'some' merit and Poona's people are at least recognisably serious about creating and selling the company's products.• Bottom line...? CERTAINLY – within the last 18 months of having produced different products tending towards this genre, this particular software is as good – and even in some ways, better – than anything else remotely equivalent and currently available that we have tried so far.• BUT – it really DOES need to be recognised that this whole ‘AI Cloning / Creation, media-production' universe has STILL quite some way to go.• Example: whilst SOME translations – for instance French to Spanish, French to Italian (i.e.: ‘direct Latin derivatives’) are fairly accurate, ANYONE fluent in both French/Italian/Spanish and English will recognise that these (Latinate) to English translations are still more-often-than-not ‘off’ – and not ‘quite’ colloquial enough to be perceived as acceptable by a native speaker: and so OBVIOUSLY an AI-produced transliteration. • This is even more true when translating from – say – English to Arabic, Russian, Thai or any non Roman-alphabet based lexicon.)• So: Is VoiceClone.ai worth the Investment...? Possibly.• Though – not as far as our own Studios are concerned.• .. And whilst the old adage of "You get what you pay for" is also certainly true, It MUST be admitted that Poona's creations ARE gradually closing the gap between genuine, top-end, big cost software with their more professional benefits, and an intended democratisation of their possibilities through the production of his own, low-cost, pseudo-facsimiles: the efficacy of which may yet one day – no doubt – be most probably worth their while.• One thing that this company DOES stand-by is their Warranty promise to refund 'no questions asked' if a claim – from any dissatisfaction – is made within the 30 days from the date of purchase: though will also try and offer you some alternative benefit in order to avoid physically having to shell-out a refund.• This at least makes the TRYING of such offers an 'honest proposition': even if the deception ultimately has caused the effort spent on its learning curve, to have been time invested that could have been better spent in managing an otherwise alternatively-productive output.
