I recently purchased a VPS plan advertised with 4GB RAM, 8 vCPU, 200 Mbit port speed, and unlimited traffic.

Unfortunately, the real-world performance did not match the advertised specifications. Despite multiple configuration attempts, the server struggled with moderate workloads and performance was significantly below expectations.

For comparison, I have used Hostinger entry-level KVM VPS plan that performed noticeably better under the same workload.

While setup and deployment were straightforward, the overall stability and resource consistency did not meet my requirements.And performance is zero

I hope the company can improve transparency around resource allocation and real-world performance expectations.

I’ve been a Contabo customer for around 6 months now, using their VPS services, and i’ve been really amazed with my VPS. Although, their newest VPS lines perform around 5 times worse than my current old one (for some reason), i’m not really complaining about it since for 5 euros a month the performance is still great for web hosting, databases etc (New VPS line). One minus is the DDoS protection, it isn’t as good compared to other hosts. I would recommend Contabo to everyone, especially if you have a low budget!

I recently found myself in a difficult situation with an outstanding payment and negative balance on my account. My VPS server was suspended and scheduled for complete deletion, which would have been devastating for my operations.
I reached out to Contabo's support team via email, asking if they could provide just one day of grace period to sort out the payment. What happened next exceeded all my expectations.
Svitlana from the General Support team responded quickly and went above and beyond to help. Not only did they grant me more time than I requested, but they immediately unsuspended my account and brought my server back online. Instead of the one day I asked for, I was given 4 days to resolve the payment issue - all while my server remained active and running.
This level of understanding and customer care is rare to find. Svitlana and the Contabo team turned what could have been a disaster into a manageable situation. They treated me with respect and provided real, practical help when I needed it most.
Highly recommended for their excellent support and customer-first approach!

Good service and support, but latency and stability issues remain.

The service and support are quite good, but there are ongoing issues with latency and stability. Game servers and APIs experience lag, SSH connections often crash or fail to connect properly, and FTP can stop working for extended periods. I have been a client for nearly four years, but these problems have become more frequent recently.
