Zero Stars if Possible

Zero stars if that option existed. They take information without permission or any courtesy notice from a platform and add assumed email addresses and phone numbers. In my case, two out of three added items are definitely incorrect (one email address and one phone number).

Illegally display my full E-mail adress while they say it's only from public websites, but there are no sites where this is displayed publicaly. Also they say that once the website/page is removed it will automatically remove from them but that is not true since an old mail from a website that does not exist anymore is still in their database.

Broken platform, no support, waste of money

I've used ContactOut for over three months. The platform has been broken in several critical ways that make it unreliable and frustrating. Unfortunately, over the past three days, things have taken a turn for the worse as major contact management failures have made the service unusable. ContactOut refuses to reply to my requests for help.Specifically:Contacts do not update properly when someone replies or if it bounces. Despite receiving many bounce notifications from my email provider, ContactOut often still shows those contacts as active. Replies also frequently do not update the contact status, meaning the campaign continues to send emails to people who have already responded.The UI for managing contacts is broken. I cannot pause, remove, archive or individually select contacts as needed. These functions worked without issue until Friday, August 1, 2025, but now they all consistently fail.I have tried multiple troubleshooting steps on my end, including clearing my cache several times, switching browsers from Chrome to Firefox, turning off my VPN, updating Chrome, rebooting my computer, and even logging into a different ContactOut account. None of this has resolved the issues, which strongly indicates the problem is on ContactOut’s side.Overall, ContactOut’s failures to maintain basic contact management functionality and their lack of timely support make this service unusable. The issues are severe enough that I plan to close my account and request a refund.

AVOID - scam company

The company has harvested my personal information from somewhere (LinkedIn?) and is selling it. Should be shut down under GDPR as they never had my permission. Their removal policy is 30 days (!) if they actually do it.
