I have enjoyed my learning experience so far and have learnt so much to help me progress in this field. The assignments have been very in depth and challenging enough that you feel you are taking on something substantial. The feedback I have received for my assignment's has also been very in depth and really helpful when moving on to the next tasks. It has taken me a long time to do this course so I have been grateful for the time given and flexibility.My only negatives is that it would be nice if there was more of a community feel and more interaction with students and tutors. The website has forums etc but they are not well used. Maybe a monthly newsletter? More online workshops etc I feel like this would be more value for money
I'm certain a writing course arrives at your door when you're ready for it. I chose BACW after some research and I'm so happy I did. It's proven to be everything I was looking for. From the way it's designed, starting each assignment with a lengthy introduction, slowly leading you into the various assignments and finally the tasks you're asked to complete before submitting your work. I chose their home study program which has proven to be perfect for me. It allows you PLENTY of time which means it fits nicely into other commitments in your life as a whole. The time given is VERY generous and I'm repeating this to encourage other budding writers to consider doing what I've done. With some assignments you're also given plenty of leeway in terms of how long you want a piece to be. To me this means real artistic freedom and I like it a lot. The feedback you're given from you tutor is also very constructive and encouraging. Thank you.
The course is fantastic. It's rich with content and easy to learn materials which will turn any novice into a confident writer. My tutor Eleanor Hartley was brilliant. She helped me progress at my own pace. The support is second to none. The best part about learning with British Academy of Creative Writing is that you can do the same assignment twice in case you don't get it right the first time with the help of constructive feedback and the areas you need to improve on. I would recommend studying creative writing course for anybody who's dream is to become a writer. It truly is one of the best course I've done in ages. I highly recommend it.
With the British Academy of creative writing I have improved my writing skills, honed in on my strengths, gained the confidence to submit stories and articles and most of all it is a source of enjoyment. Learning about publishing to experimental writing, this course has it all and I would highly recommend it.
An incredible journey to embark on! I have thoroughly enjoyed my time working through the units as information is presented neatly and clearly. Having only completed 2 of the 15 units and having this strong of an impression should tell you all you need to know. The tutors are polite, patient and offer great insight to any queries you may have. Taking on a course with The British Academy of Creative Writing will no doubt bolster your writing capabilities and fill you with confidence for future writing projects.Highly recommend!
